Superb acting by everyone but Willa Fitzgerald and Malcolm Goodwin of Season 1 stand out as superior. Their responses and facial expressions are stellar. Bring them back for more than a Cameo!

Cruise did a great job, just didn't fit the description of what Reacher looked like in the books.

If you read what I posted we're in agreement when it comes to physical presence. But the acting and line deliverance was better with TC.

This is the real book version, which makes it all the more awesome. Tom is Hollywood trying to cash in w a superstar actor. Reacher is supposed to be this huge 6 ft 5 in dude whereas Tom is a laughable 5'7"
My idea is, while Tom Cruise is a great, highly skilled actor who deserves all his great success, for he's a monster in delivering both line and expression all with great attitude, well his Reacher of course lack the height and the beef, and that's fair, but even more that that I'd say it's too sophisticated. One great appeal point of the original is, Jack Reacher is a simple beast. As Dillon says "honest, direct and well reasoned". Basically, Reacher is a mama's boy devoted to "do the right thing". Not a simpleton, he's brilliant of course, yet very simple. Logical, clear, and all. A no-nonsense guy. A is A, B is B, good is good, bad is bad, period. That's a big part of his character and his appeal. He's pretty much as some kind of super avenger boy scout.

Unlikely to happen. Oddly many fans of Reacher and the books prefer the lone wolf version which aligns more w the books. And Alan hinted s3 gonna go back to its roots. So lone wolf bad ass roaming around finding trouble and taking care of said trouble in the most efficient and brutal way possible.

I read the book “Bad Luck & Trouble” the film pretty much follows the book. I read just about all of Lee Child’s “Reacher” books and they great reading.
Agreed. Hence my comment about the books dictating the results we see. I don't believe Lee would want it any other way.

Season 2 paled in comparison to 1, but still entertaining. Alan Ritchson IS Reacher, the best part of every scene.

Season 2 was OK, but Reacher's true appeal is being a lone wolf in situations where people just don't know what to make of him, like in Season 1. I hope the next season returns to that.
I liked season 2 but you make a good point.
He's a lonewolf but you need to realise he was in the army , if you're in the army you're not a lonewolf, you're in there for a few years so you develop a family, if you don't realise this you need to read more
@@Loganwolfen I was in the army once, so I understand precisely how the military can feel like an extended family. It's one of the things I miss about it.
But my point was that for many in the audience, the most appealing aspect of Reacher is when he is a fish out of water, not when he's the leader of a school of sharks.
For me, I liked seeing Reacher disconcert people with his moral clarity and purpose which is more evident when he is by himself. Interesting as his team was, Reacher is plenty entertaining by himself.
The books dictate the results we see. All I know, is that we need WAY more guys like Reacher if we want our country back.
If this season was a lone wolf type of thing that wouldn’t have made sense to me and the reason being is his friends were killed and they were the friends of his costars. Being said if he didn’t have the help of three others yes it might have been a better season but it would have made less sense due to the family aspect of it

Slight snag for Season 3, Paramount TV ceased operations (this programs' production unit) and new episodes are delayed as they are getting a new production company and locating to a different area. Most likely, not in Ontario Canada, but possibly in the USA.

Season 2 didn't disappoint however, the sentimental ending was a bit tacky. Would have been better played out if they all just shook hands and saw Reacher on the bus ready for the next chapter. Apart from that, no complaints here, and can't wait for season 3

Howdy and too much Hollywood,So @ 53 seconds when Reacher kicks in the grille, which in it's self would not fire the front arming air bag sensor, it takes a second sensor, usually under the front seat the (DREM) Diagnostic and reserve energy module to also fire in tandem to set off the air bag.

I just wish he hadn't bulked up like he did. He was perfect in the first season because he looked the way the author describes him in vivid detail in the books. I was very disappointed in the movies that came out with Tom Cruise because TC looks nothing like how I ever imagined Reacher. As violent as the story line is, I really like this series though.

Nah. Not true. I watched all the clips from season one here on youtube, then binge watched the entire series on amazon prime and was not disappointed. You don't get the full feel of the movie without the context behind each action scene.

Granted , these were fine moments of the season but I feel there were a lot more than nine and a half minutes worth .
If I was Child, I'd sue the producers for killing the story. Nothing like the original novel. And I'm not sure why they felt the need to reverse race the female characters. Unless they felt uncomfortable with Reacher sleeping with a black woman, as portrayed in the book, or something.
I don't know if its intentional but the actress playing Neagley looks disgusted when she fights, goes with her character of not liking to be touched. I hope its intentional.

He only thing that got me is there were nine on the team in the 110th division. By my count there were only four killed. What happened to the ninth guy? Or am I missing something?
Are you accounting for Lowry (black guy)? He was killed in the car crash in Montana at a time before the events of season two occurred.

I actually prefer season one. Two had some better fights but overall Reacher operating ALONE is the draw just like in the books 😊
What is Reacher's forehead made up of?? Steel or concrete?? In the last season the guy blocks a punch thrown at him with his head and now he breaks a guy's arm with his head!! He never gets fuzzy after headbutting someone!!
The backblast on that rocket launcher would have burn the people in the back .... next time do a better job at filming that scene to make it look official.

Season one was better. If there is a season three please return to lone wolf Reacher and return to his clean cut, well shaved look which suits both the character and that particular actor much better. I liked season two but I loved season one.

How many people did Reacher and his guys kill this season? I mean Langston only murdered like 3-4 people but Reacher... they killed like 35 people, including people that were barely involved and certainly didn't deserve to die. I thought they were the good guys. It's not really a successful investigation if you kill literally everyone.
Season 1 fights were better. Reacher takes on prisoners in the jail cell.
