I love your videos. I've been playing go for about 4 months, but I've been obsessed, and I look forward to your lectures each week. You mentioned at the beginning that you might return to basics, and I'd love to see that! In particular, one thing I'm having trouble with is seeing where I can make eye shape when there's only 4 or 5 stones in the area, before it's become a full Life/Death problem. I'm not sure if you can effectively lecture about that, but if you can It'd help a lot!
Nice to see you on youtube! Just found your channel and subscribed! I am honestly surprised! Your's is the first Go channel, that is just Go, that is bigger than mine! Lol. I'm jealous but in a good way. Keep it up!
Superb video! Although the puzzles were way beyond my current level (15kyu), I was able to follow the reasoning of Nick and actually felt stupid for not figuring out the solution, they made so much sense... What a great teacher, I really look forward to the upcoming, more elementary videos.
About the light stone-treatment in the shusaku-joseki-ish corner position: EidoGo claims that locally the 1-space jump attachment shown in this video is a mistake. For whatever reason... Is this an exception because of the strong black stones in the middle top?
Great lecture, thanks again Nick. But the 20 kyu who keeps asking questions about something you've already gone over in every single lecture is getting annoying -_- but I guess I shouldn't complain because this is essentially a free lecture!!
Hey nick, is there any way to contact you directly? An email perhaps? I have tried sending you a message at facebook but I think it went to the "other messages box" and you might never see it
Well done for being humble enough to admit the limit of your knowledge (e.g. working out the value of a big move).

One of my favorite lectures sofar, thanks for posting. I especially like your "nanananana I make a base". Looking forward to going through the rest!
Really enjoyed the big v urgent puzzle explanations. Picking the urgent move is a problem all of us kyu players have! :)
another great video. one of my favorites
It was great to have a bit of time to think about them and then get the answers and your comments, thanks :)
Excellent video Nick, I have found it both interesting and useful, thanks
Around 33:00 in the shoulderhit-sequence you played a white stone after another white stone. love the teaching videos. Keep it up!

Great! Really useful...
What kind of go stones were you guys using? Awesome video btw!
46:15 there is certainly a mistake in this position. Black has 13 stones, white has 14, and apparently no stone was taken prisoner.
Lee chang ho usually goes for big moves instead of urgent moves as far as i can tell from his games and what others have said

I am referring to the position shown at 44:14.

I only got two right, but learned a lot. Great Lecture!
Nice lecture.
Thx for sharing.

...yeah, black is quite strong at 33:10 despite white playing TWICE :) would white still come out otherwise?
