NOFX - The Decline - Drum Cover (only 1 take)

Drum cover of the song The Decline by NOFX, from the the The Decline EP from 1999. This song is simply an anthem. Unbelievable that I hated it from 2004 (first time I heard it) until 2022 (ironically 18 years hating an 18-minute song). It was only in 2022 that I heard this song again, because my band NO EFects wanted to play it live, and I immediately liked it. This song criticized people who thought about voting for Bush, who at the time was running for his first time as president of the USA. The lyrics of this song are certainly one of the most intelligent of the band's entire career, and before the Final Tour it was played very few times in its entirety (in a few other shows they only played an excerpt). On the Final Tour they played almost every show. This song in general is not difficult on the drums, it just has a few complicated parts. Even though I had trained tirelessly before recording, I made some small, almost unnoticeable mistakes, but I didn't want to repeat it because the song is so long, and I still had a lot to record. Pensar que odiei ela de 2004 (primeira vez qu escutei) até 2022 (ironicamente 18 anos odiando uma música de 18 minutos). Somente em 2022 que fui ouvir essa música de novo, pois a minha banda NO EFects queria tocar ela ao vivo, e de cara gostei. Essa música foi uma critia as pessoas que pensavam em votar no Bush que na epóca concorria ao seu 1º mandato à presidência dos EUA. A letra dessa música certamente é uma das mais inteligentes de toda a carreira da banda, e antes da Final Tour foi tocada pouquissimas vezes completa (alguns outros poucos shows eles tocavam só um trecho). Na Final Tour eles tocaram em quase todos os shows. Essa música no geral não é dificil na bateria, só tem algumas poucas partes complicadas. A pesar de eu ter treinado incansavelmente antes da gravação, cometi uns erros bobos, quase inperceptíveis, mas não quis repetir pois a música é muito grande, e tinha muitas à gravar ainda.Os direitos autorais pertencem a banda.
