Of all of the western stars from the past Randolph Scott will always be #1. I have always enjoyed his movies. An feel that he is watching us from above. I just wish that move of his movies were shown, it seems that10 or so are the only ones that keep coming. Great man.
I am a fan of Randolph Scott what a fine actor with a great face. I am particular draw to the the fine presence of dress, there was nothing he did not look good in. Even when he was in a nasty fight, he always came out looking great. He also aged well. Thanks for sharing.
Love this man, never be another one that can come to him.. Such a beautiful true Southern gentleman. I have as many of his movies that I can get.. Just watched Thunder over the Plains great movie.
I believe this man was very honest and true. Such a handsome man. I read both books his son wrote such a moving and loving that was between a father and son. Just wished I could have seen and shook his hand. I have all of the videos which are featured here and love each and everyone. I also have Broken Dreams and a few more that very hard to find. Thanks for the great video.
I just read the book Whatever happen to Randolph Scott? written by Scott's son Christopher. What a great tribute to an amazing man who lived an honorable and life.
I agree with you, he always stayed a gentleman and a joyful person and that's what makes most of his characters so charming. Thank you for sharing your thoughts :)
Yes, rarely was Mr. Scott photograph without a smile...it always began with his eyes and went all over his face. He must have had a great childhood and he grew up with confidence and the ability to see past the outside of a person and be friendly toward others not like himself. They do not make them like Mr. Scott any more.
I love this actor I read his son's books and loved both of them. A love this man for his family, he speaks of a time he was on his way home one night. His car broke down. A phone call was made home his dad answered told him his problem. Randy ask him to stay close by his car and help was on it's way. He couldn't believe it his dad showed up and was already in his 70's. Now you see why there was a great love and respect for this man. He is so very much missed.
At one time, Randolph Scott was one the top 5 male actors in Hollywood. The studios wanted him to pursue some other types of *more lucrative* roles........he said his fans wanted to see him as a "cowboy" and that was more important to him than anything else. Today......all that matters is a gold statue and money, the fans are somewhere on the back burner.
Mr. Scott was ahead of his time. He had the foresight to form his own production company with Harry Joe Brown that produced his movies beginning I believe in 1946. Great actor and man, when he died he was among the wealthiest actors.
absolutely, just to clarify, I in no way was implying he wasn't a savvy business man, extremely intelligent, just sharing something he stated once regarding his fans......they were very important to him.
Beautiful very pretty, with some luck will go up it to the Album of the movie Stars, this videotape deserves to be among the best, congratulation and cordial greetings from the Islands Canaries.
Make click in my Channel and enters in INFORMATION and make click in anyone of the three connections and you will be all detailed one so that easily you see your beautiful videotape in the Album of the movie Stars... thank you to share it and if you like this place it is forever yours.
thanks for this i was a big fan of his pics as a little girl and seeing such pics as comanche station i see how good they were good stories and supporting casts, some classic bad guys like claude akins and lee marvin...i was lucky to have such pics growing up.
Irina Garbo please go to the top of the class. This is the best tribute I've seen on youtube, you've captured a sentiment in time with perfect sequences to marry with the song. You really deserve an award for this work (really) The sad part is that we may never see the likes of Randolph Scott again, but he will always be larger than life to me even in legend..Kindest thanks for four minutes of memories....Cheers!
thank you for this. I believe that his last film was Ride the high country (guns in the afternoon) which was a fitting tribute to him and the westerns that he made. I watched his films as a boy and still watch his films 55 years later. Great stuff and thanks again for the memories.
@GEROIDIN Thank you so much!! Randy was a true gentleman on and off screen! I am sureI will make another video dedicated to him in the future because he inspires me a lot!!!!
What is the name of the video where he's groming his horse? I have all of picture but can't remember one this one is. Just watched Man Behind The Gun. Greatest actor. No one will ever come close to filling his boots.

One of the best. R.I.P. Randolph.
I got to shake Randolph's hand when I was a lad of 13. A beautiful but humble man he was. He spoke to me with dignity.

What ever happened to Randolph Scott and The Foot Steps Of A Giant.
Both are published by Christopher Scott Randolph Scott's son.

Amen and kudos to Irina Garbo.
As much as I admire Randolph
Scott, have to rank
him in a dead heat photo finish with
Joel McCrea for
the western stars
I most enjoyed.

Does anybody know which movies the clips at .034 seconds and 1.00 are from?
I felt like crying. No more Randy Scott nor John Wayne. What are we gonna watch now. Cruise and Pitt? Or a bunch of Gay sissies. What a mess.
