Apparently the SEC rewards failure, instead of trying to get balanced schedules. They said they tweaked the schedules based on the past 10 years of performance, but that doesn't really add up either.
SEC fans: "I watched an OU game 5 years ago, and I have no idea what kind of roster they have currently, so I just have to wait and see, if a top 10 roster nationally can beat teams with less than 10 4 stars on the whole team." I don’t think OU fans are upset because we don’t get our asses kissed but upset at the level of ignorance by 98% of the talking heads out there. So the only way OU wins games this year is if the other teams such as Ole Miss aren’t as good as whatever expects but it can’t be that OU is that much better than everyone thinks. I think we are upset that we have dominated and I mean dominated Texas for years and we have heard every year how good Texas is only to get spanked again and again. 11 times in the last 15 years to be exact and even worse over the last 25. The lack of respect towards the WINNINGEST program in modern history with the level of talent that we have is the upsetting part. Nico threw for a whoppping 150 yards in the bowl game and yes had 4 rushing TD’s but only 25 yards rushing so every run he had was just lining up behind a dominating OL and punching it on from 2 yards out. While Jackson Arnold had 3 int’s ( one bounced off of the receiver ) threw for over 360 yards but the only thing people focus on are the int’s as if an #1 QB in any draft has never had a game like that. You want to know how many games in 3 years that Ewers has throwing for more than 360 yards? 2x’s. So sure focus on the 3 int’s but completely dismissing the 360 plus yards he threw for is exactly the kind of thing that hatred up OU fans. Acting as though he may not be able to handle it is laughable. Best WR corp in the SEC, one of the best backfields in the SEC, a top 3 defense and an OL with a ton of experience they just all haven’t played together. Other than QB ( and that’s questionable until we watch this season ) and the OL are the only two position groups UT has an argument that is better than OU’s. Yet? All of the sudden it’s an offensive league when all we have heard is it’s a defensive league and defense wins championships. Now we have a stellar defense it all of the sudden it becomes an Offensive league but guess what? Even last year we had a top 5 offense. Oklahomas offense has been what has carried OU for the last 10 years and one of the best offenses, Lebby proved it wasn’t a Lincoln Riley thing which we all have known. It’s not as if OU hasn’t had a top 5 offense for years and years. So that’s where the frustration comes from but I think we are even more frustrated the season has t started so we can stop this narrative we have had to live with for the last however long. Discount us all you want. Disrespect JA for his int’s, ignore the fact we have a top 3 defense or a top 5 offense. If OU has a top 3 defense and a top 5 offense in the sec does everyone still think PU finishes 7-5? Hell no there is no way if that’s where they end up at the end of the year. So we just want this season to get started. We have e beaten Tennessee the last 2 times we have played them and that was with some of the worst defenses we have had ever. Outside of that though? We have dominated SEC teams and thinking we are walking into a conference that we will lose 5 games against the exact competition we have dominated is part of the ridiculousness. OU has been noted in the Big 12. Having big games every week and being the underdogs is something we will more be able to handle. You can’t have a top 3 defense and offense and end up 8th in the SEC.
