Great remark! I should have been more precise in the video. The baroque/renaissance lute had a lower pitch than today's instruments (then A=415 hz to today's A=440 hz). So, although it was tuned G-C-F-A-D-G, it sounds a half-step lower. That's the reason I put a capo on the second fret. Both ways are totally fine of course.

Sounds great. But don't you emulate a G-tuned lute on a classical by putting the capo on the third fret?
