That's great thank you! Nobody wants to see BC become a staple like Ibanez/ESP etc more than me. So many teenage memories formed with their guitars. But they seem to only release guitars in fits and spurts which makes getting hold of one in UK/Europe close to impossible. I did enjoy the review. I also need to admit that on the part where gig bags were described the ' I am not very keen on that' sounded like what I would personally phrase as... uh... well I'd phrase it in a way more offensive manner :D
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial I played one of these in a local guitar center late last year and they were certainly extremely shiny frets, I think I asked them (BC Rich) on instagram before if these were stainless and they said no. I guess big ups to whatever nickel frets they're using, because they were quite better than most of the other non stainless guitars hanging around them. I'd bank on the frets slowly tarnishing over time/losing the shine as nickel frets usually do.
These guitars are very hard to find. I don't know where to get them. I hope they become more available but meanwhile, i'll stick to my old BC Rich axes from the early 2010's.
BC Rich in general are a total nightmare to get hold of tbh..... The ownership seems to change a lot and they produce guitars in spurts without much consistency. Thomann do occasionally stock them but the only place in the WORLD that seems to have a consistent stock of new models is Red Blanket Guitars in the USA.
This is great news cuz I'm looking forward to buying some more BC Rich guitars the one BC Rich guitar that I have like I told you it's a warlock say blue burst Warlock
Hi James. How does the neck compare to your Schecter that’s ultra thin C?.is the Schecter neck slightly slimmer and that’s odd that they made voice 2 a coil split. Also as far as build goes is this better or as good as Schecter?.I’m a Schecter man but I want to try something different next. Thanks
Hi mate. This definitely feels thinner than the Schecter. The Schecter is slightly thicker/clubbier feeling. Possibly geared more towards rhythm playing whereas this is more for lead, although either are fine for both (I'm mostly a rhythm player but love a thin neck!). Build quality wise this is as good as anything else coming out of Korea at this price point that I've played, that includes guitars I've reviewed from Schecter, Jackson and Legator. Thanks for watching!
I'm really intrigued by nu-BC Rich, my only real experience with them previously was the Bronze series which were good for absolutely sod all. That is a nice guitar!
Nice! Love the look of the 7's however dissapointed that most of them are 25.5" scale length. Simply not enough for a 7 string IMO. They have just brought out an Evertune equipped 7 with a 26.5 scale however so the hunt is now on...
I got a black one of these for £750 used from andertons after seeing your vid and it barely has a scratch on it, no issues apart from one straplock being broken. Absaloute bargain this guitar plays so well. I struggle to tame the highs of the fishman moderns at times and yeah the kill switch sucks but I have no issues with the strap peg positioning or finishing
Dude what a steal! Nice one. I actually think the Matt Black combined with the Abalone binding looks awesome on this shape. I always use Voice 2 on the bridge with the Fishmans, far nicer high end roll off.
Fun fact... Have a B.C. Rich Beast in my lap right now A older gen Platinum series but steat with the old gen hugh Beast headstock The Floyd Rose need to be replaced, small chips needs fixing, maybe a replaint with an R logo on the headstock. It needs a little TLC but, man, it's so brutal...

A great question, at the time of this video these were available from Thomann however at present the modern BC Rich stuff is almost impossible to get. The only store I'm aware of that currently has stock is Red Blanket Guitars in the USA who will ship worldwide.

I know right? I probably sound nuts saying it but i've played maybe 8/9 guitars with Fluence Moderns now and even amongst the ones I own the sounds are so different. All I can think is there are either revisions to the design of different batches (If you look on the back of a Fishman pickup I've noticed there are different revision numbers) OR they do such a good job of capturing the vibrations of strings on each instrument that variances in the acoustic sound between each guitar are magnified. Can you tell I've thought about this a lot? 😂

I'm not sure whats happening with BC Rich now but I saw the 2022 range announced ages ago and been looking to get a new model in for review but you cant buy them anywhere it seems? I cant even find an American shop that sells anything from the current range on the site.
@@ernestochang1744 Yeah I play in the classical position mostly and find this really comfortable! Good thickness to the body as well not too much but just the right amount.
I got the guitar i absolutely love it as someone who's always had used cheap epiphones and squiers this is definetly a big step up, got the guitar in -3 C weather went inside took it out, and it was stable as a rock but most important it's actually really comfortable, unlike the many les paul shapes that are really small when i play sitting down, thanks for the video would have never bought it had it not been for this helpful comparison
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial The Gunslinger was about the last good guitar they put out back in the mid 80's after that it all went down hill with all those Halloween looking monstrosities
They have several bstock hard tails at my local store for 720$. I played all three and now i understand why, easily the worst korean made guitar ive ever played. The binding at the neck was butchered and none of the three can stay in tune. I can't believe they brought back bcrich as a premium brand, when the name is synonymous with low end low quality guitars. You should have bought an esp ltd itll be better quality and have better resale.
I've reviewed many LTD's and been mostly impressed. I had no issues at all with this BC Rich, the fact the ones you tried were B Stocks should bring no surprise that you found issues.
I've been playing B.C Rich since the late 90s, I absolutely love em and I'll be buried with my favourite BC Rich Beast, so for me they never went away🤷 they're the only brand I'm interested in.

Love the guitar that you're playing that is one sick BC Rich guitar it sounds amazing that BC Rich guitar I love the paint Scheme I love the way it looks that is one sick BC Rich guitar you're one lucky guy to have a sick BC Rich guitar like that it's like a one-of-a-kind custom it's awesome also really enjoyed this video it was awesome
That guitar is awesome it's a definitely a fracture and a definitely you want to like shred so hard on that guitar and jam out and do some really cool solos and just blow people's minds away that is awesome
I did enjoy the review. I also need to admit that on the part where gig bags were described the ' I am not very keen on that' sounded like what I would personally phrase as... uh... well I'd phrase it in a way more offensive manner :D
I have effed and jeffed about the issue several times in other reviews so thought i'd try the polite version here 😂
Man these are pretty tight but a real shame they didnt come with SS frets. For the money I'd rather pick up a Legator Ninja X
You sure these aren't Stainless frets? They are very shiny. I actually prefer the feel of Nickel to be honest. Though I get the appeal of SS.
Sounds great! I The return of the legend BC 🎸
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial thanks for the reply mate and that’s exactly what I was hoping to hear.I’ll keep my eye out for one of these bad boys now :-)
Yeah! Shout out to @tonewars! I'm very interested in a shredzilla....may break down and get one!
Search around Reverb/Thomann/eBay for B Stock and Ex-Showroom models. Some absolute steals coming up regularly now!
Those fmf modern pickups
I'm really intrigued by nu-BC Rich, my only real experience with them previously was the Bronze series which were good for absolutely sod all. That is a nice guitar!
Very nice and these regularly pop up at healthy discounts now...
This video this content made my day today wow
I have the mockingbird extreme in this blue green. I love it I just wish it was a 7 string..
Nice! Love the look of the 7's however dissapointed that most of them are 25.5" scale length. Simply not enough for a 7 string IMO. They have just brought out an Evertune equipped 7 with a 26.5 scale however so the hunt is now on...
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial totally agree man I bought the Schecter e-7 apocalypse 26.5 and I love playing leads on a that scale length.
Such a wonderful guitar. Nice video!
Thanks for watching!
Fun fact...
Have a B.C. Rich Beast in my lap right now
A older gen Platinum series but steat with the old gen hugh Beast headstock
The Floyd Rose need to be replaced, small chips needs fixing, maybe a replaint with an R logo on the headstock.
It needs a little TLC but, man, it's so brutal...
Such a massive guitar! What year is yours and does it say where its made? They are getting quite rare now.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial
I can't make sence of bc richs serial numbers but I think it's somewhere between 2000 and 2005...
I just got it a couple of weeks back...
I work in a guitar her i denmark and I have a little arrangement with my boss, if wee get some used bc rich in I get first dig on them...
Been a fan of the brand since I where in my teens and yes I got in to them because of Slipknot. Still a big time Mick Thomson fan... 🤘
I had to watch this video 3 times and to listen to that amazing BC Rich guitar you were playing ohmygod my mind was blown this video doesn't even do it justice at sounds amazing and wow so what you're saying is the company is been bought over by people that know what the hell they're doing and they're not cheating people out of stuff and a better Direction that's great news cuz I really want to get some more BC Rich guitars and stuff I always wanted to get a really cool BC Rich guitars and now that could be possible
Same here I have such a fondness for the brand. They disappeared off the map again recently but seem to be back now and even Andertons are stocking the new range albeit at some outrageous prices! (£1900 for a 7 string with no gig bag or case 😬).
Does it neck dive
No most of the weight is in the body due to the Burl top, Active pickups etc.
looks really nice but i deff agree with the killswitch. TBH not a fan of BC Rich at all but this looks so nice
A great guitar and I regularly see B Stock/Used ones come up for bargain prices!
I love love bc rich
I want one with the Floyd rose
It’s refreshing seeing bc rich again on the map good ones anyway yeah man 7 string is deffo worth a shot am into 7 strings now and I do need a bc rich they need to make the warlock 7 again 😂
Remember that wild 8 String V they did? Rare as hell now.

Yes we need 7
Hi, thank you for this video, where i can buy this guitar?
A great question, at the time of this video these were available from Thomann however at present the modern BC Rich stuff is almost impossible to get. The only store I'm aware of that currently has stock is Red Blanket Guitars in the USA who will ship worldwide.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial thank you
Maybe they inside the guitar they took some of the weight and balance of the guitar so it was less heavier figure components inside and the thickness of the woods so they had to make it a little bit lighter in certain areas probably inside the wood or made it late in certain areas to balance it out this is just an awesome I want this guitar man oh my God it's I would shred all night long man and just jam out that is one sick guitar here one lucky guy to have that amazing sick guitar I love the way it looks the paint job the everything about it the sound pickups it's just a really nice I've never seen a BC Rich guitar look that sick they really changed thank God I can't wait to get myself a PC Rich guitar hell yeah I'm all in cuz I love BC Rich but like they said they had problems and stuff in the company went downhill I'm glad they were bought out and they got back to the roots of things this is the fourth time watching this video I just love this oh my God now I have to go to their website and see what kinds of guitars they have
That's only minor you could switch out that Killswitch and put the really good one in there take out that really bad Mon and put in a really good one in there tweet this guitar a little bit minor stuff that can make it even better or Improvement
I'm a blues guitarist and I'm looking to move on from Fender guitars. I'm a litte tired of that vintage Strat design style. I like the look of the Ibanez and this BC Rich body design...but i need that single coil option for my sound. Do you have any suggestions?
I'd look at one of the new Jackson Pro Plus models with the HSS pickup configuration!
@ChilledGuitarReviews Thanks ...most appreciated!
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial Just checked Jacksons site. Should have told u that I was left-handed. Jackson Pro Plus ain't lefty.
I remember when they relaunched, prophecy warlocks and ironbirds for what, 899 to a grand? Never saw the light of day sadly.
They seem to be having another spurt now. Radio silence but now posting about new models again. They look as awesome as this guitar but Im worried they will just be a flash in the pain again and the brand will go dormant once more..
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial i like bill xavier, he's very nice when i talk to him, and its sad to see that they are having all this trouble.
But then again its privatly owned now, and not a big corporation like praxis, class axe or hanser
Great review, thanks. I'll stay with my warlock USA bolt on(assembled in USA, not custom shop). It also has reverse headstock and great quality from 89. Newer BC Rich guitars has worse quality and finish, especially after the end of 90s.
They unfortunately tore down their own reputation from 2000 on but these current Korean models really are superb.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial fully agree. Newest ones are kinda premium product
I have the chance to get one of those old USA made Warlocks. Are those still worth it? Or should I go for one of the new Korean ones. Thank you!
@@al6377 you need to try and see how is the condition. It's hard to get a clean one

I have a BC Rich guitar it's a warlock the Warlock with the blue burst today Widow stock on it I like my BC Rich guitar Unfortunately they have changed the company has really changed I don't know what BC Rich like in 2023 but I remember that they were really awesome during the 80s like all through the eighties they were the s*** man BC Rich was amazing black metal bands to death metal bands to thrash bands all had a BC Rich guitar a warlock or a base they were cool as hell shape design and they were amazing and they were made in the United States at one point but then the company changed but I love BC Rich guitars they were really cool I will never part with my BC Rich guitar even if the my BC Rich guitar is made in Korea I still not going to part with it
The kill switch doesn't bother me
I think it’s really funny that the fishmans have such a high variance. They claim they have the most constant way of making pickups😂
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial haha I feel you. The pickup game seems endless
not sure if this was the intervue or the earlier one im not watching it again. if you followed bc riich since xavier came in the pic count the lies or bullshit that came out of his mouth. lol he's a good match moral wise with the tone king.
I'm not sure whats happening with BC Rich now but I saw the 2022 range announced ages ago and been looking to get a new model in for review but you cant buy them anywhere it seems? I cant even find an American shop that sells anything from the current range on the site.
How tall are you
6ft?
Perfect thank you, this will be a comfortable guitar to play while im sitting down unlike the les paul which is really small @@GuitarCinemaOfficial
@@ernestochang1744 Yeah I play in the classical position mostly and find this really comfortable! Good thickness to the body as well not too much but just the right amount.
thanks
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial
I got the guitar i absolutely love it as someone who's always had used cheap epiphones and squiers this is definetly a big step up, got the guitar in -3 C weather went inside took it out, and it was stable as a rock but most important it's actually really comfortable, unlike the many les paul shapes that are really small when i play sitting down, thanks for the video would have never bought it had it not been for this helpful comparison
Looks like a well thought out guitar.
They are popping up for reasonable money on places like Thomann and Reverb now well under MSRP.
I prefer a 7 string.
I just wish you were not playing in standard
I'm playing in Drop D in this video. Usually tune down half a step on all my other 6 Strings.
Looks good but overpriced for what is capable of .
Price was about right to me at the time of doing this vid. The latest Shredzilla range however.... 2 grand Stirling for a 7 string 😬
Bernardo Chavez Rico built the best B.C. Rich guitars in the day then Bernie Rico Jr. let it all go to shit after the shredder days
Wasn't there some controversy recently about Rico taking orders for guitars and never delivering them?
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial yes there was
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial The Gunslinger was about the last good guitar they put out back in the mid 80's after that it all went down hill with all those Halloween looking monstrosities
I had no issues at all with this BC Rich, the fact the ones you tried were B Stocks should bring no surprise that you found issues.
man those fishman moderns sound horrible
Lol they can be an acquired taste...
Worst review I have ever watched
I've been playing B.C Rich since the late 90s, I absolutely love em and I'll be buried with my favourite BC Rich Beast, so for me they never went away🤷 they're the only brand I'm interested in.
i was never a fan of their ridiculous looking guitars maybe this one could me more interersting for the average guitarhero! just looking at the specs and the price ..oh just 1700€, great 😂
Keep a regular eye on Reverb, eBay and especially Thomanns B Stock and Ex-Showroom Models.... These regularly pop up for 1000 Euro or less.
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial but that don`t help much here, its about the new prices..not used stuff everyone can look that up 🤷♀
