Sprinter series trains have higher line speeds because they are constructed of lightweight aluminium bodywork, so they stop in better distances and they suit railtrack infrastructure better than other trains
The timetable is odd given that it's based in the modern era; all those services should be covered by Class 385 and haven't been diesel for a long time, certainly Waverley to Queen Street. The Class 158 really needs to run on the Fife Circle route so I suspect that the fictional timetable was to allow a release s that we can drive the Class 158 until the next Rivet Fife Circle update.
Hi Ace! Great vid dude! Looks cool the 158. Should look great on the updated Fife circle! Just wondered what rig you using? I've got an msi which doesn't like train sim too much! Hey ho! Keep up the vids dude!
I'm a tech for a company which use 158 and 170 and they don't smoke like you think and they do then they is obviously a problem. The aux heater smokes more . 😂😉
I love the cummins roar when pulling away. Went on a GWR 158 from Portsmouth H to Soton Central. Didn't want to get off.
I train spot at Trowbridge on Wessex main line so I hear the roar of them they are beautiful
@@BenskiBoi I know, the power right? 💯
That interior looks a bit fresh, IRL these are pretty worn out units.
problems with jouney med.DB158 NR 1R11 at 0644 from Edinbirgh
Use to see these trains running to Edinburgh and Bathgate before the reopening of the Glasgow line
Thanks for showing this Joe. Your videos are brilliant 🙂
My pleasure!
@@TheBritishAce how do you get the hts gwr

@The British Ace I'm Looking Forward To Using The Scotrail Class 158 On My PS5 Version TSW4
Sprinter series trains have higher line speeds because they are constructed of lightweight aluminium bodywork, so they stop in better distances and they suit railtrack infrastructure better than other trains
Cheers for that! 😅

Yeah, perhaps they'll remove once FCL is updated

If it ever releases

Hi mate, another great video 👍
Thanks 👍
@@TheBritishAce is it on xbox
You say you don't play scenarios, but have you tried them for the 158? You might be surprised.
I will be giving the Fife Circle scenarios a go (looks like they're based off services), but generally don't do scenarios 😅 Hey Adam! 👍
Is that the only train you get in that pack ?
Yes
how do you get the hts
Great Western Express DLC
I really hope they bring dutch/belgian trains next it would be fun to drive from one country to another
Does the doors still take long to shut on this version like the mml version ??
No not in irl
The mml version was updated to be much shorter so I'm assuming they just copied it over to the scotrail unit
@@simonsgoprovideos2840 it’s the door alarms on the opening that are missing
They're at a good speed now
@@TheBritishAce ah that’s good to hear
No exhaust smoke ☹️
Strange, same with the 170

They smoke a bit on startup and when they're cold, but they're pretty clean running engines
So do you need to own the 385 Edinburgh to Glasgow route to get this add on
No. Tsw3 and newer locos no longer need the route. However you won't get scenarios or services if you don't buy the home route
@@potatoman451 ok thanks for tour help 👍🏻
The Add on you can just buy but only has timetable for Edinburgh Glasgow at the moment but when the leven branch come out it will be on fife circle
How’s it going Joe?
Alright, you? 😅
