31:38 honestly, as someone that had less of a role in game design, I didn't do much trolling, but i certainly wouldn't put it past us as a team. I'll accept collectively being trolls.
59:21 for the record that's always been there, and i made it bigger in a patch. And yes tons of people miss it, it's fine, calm down chat. lol It is charming when people screencap or even better, get out pen and paper for our game, it's a bit nostalgic to me in that sense.

I did it with pen and paper. And I went to the game files and made a backup of the save first after performing a few dry-runs. As I really didn't know if that would survive [death]
Honestly, the only guaranteed way of making players notice that is making it blink, or something like that. It's the same colour, perfectly fits with the interface, and player is panicking. But since screencap exist, I see it as a perfect way to make players actually care about the password, which is rare in games - usually we just auto-input it or hack the lock in some mini-game.
What the...! Where did that come from?? I've been conditioned by the launch codes to ignore that bit as flavor!
I've beaten the game and the DLC and never noticed before, even with your comment I had to look really hard to find it.

I'm really impressed that Fauna never died by leaving the ship without the suit. She might be the only one to never do it out of the playthroughs that I've seen.

She actually has not died by forgetting to put on the suit I had a separate category prepared for that if it ever happened

Her putting in the coordinates has proven to me one undeniable fact, this playthrough has been done completely blindfolded
You know the excitement is real, when Fauna doesn't even try to look for the missing lore.
Before this series ends, I just want to say I think it's cute how she never turns right to the log after putting on her suit, but instead turning 270 degrees left everytime

Honestly missing the vessel logs is worse than missing white hole station storywise
Yeah I really hope she reads them eventually as she was theorizing about Nomai existing in the present, I feel like it contextualizes the ending to know the whole universe is dying of old age.
("can I go in this way? Oh, maybe not" -girl looking at the entry) really sums this playthrough up lol. Still, this is the most organic playthrough I've yet seen, and Fauna did perfectly fine. Well done fauna, I eagerly await tomorrow's finale.
It is now that we can put WHS to rest, it’s too bad it never existed literally right next to the white hole, it’s definitely not super visible and easy to get to. Very sad that it was absolutely definitely not in this playthrough, must’ve been a bug.

Fun Fact: The devs did, in fact, put that cactus there on purpose. It was added to prevent people from stumbling in early, and also to troll Fauna

It’s almost incredible how it seems like Past Fauna is in on the White Hole Station joke now. Also had a feeling that she’d cliffhanger this part, very devious Kirin

Kirin seeing the coordinated so helpfully written in the bottom left so that you didn't have to have gone out of the game to input the code: NEVER.

So most of the notable stuff Fauna missed by the end of this episode is:
- Vessel lore board #1, #2, and the lore in the downstairs room.
- The Ash Twin Project warning that removing the warp core will disable the Ash Twin Project.
- Additional dialog with practically all of the travelers.
- The inside of the White Hole Station.
- Hollow's Lantern lore and party skeleton.
- The High Energy Lab experiment.
- What happens inside the Ash Twin Project at the end of the loop. And also the result of testing out your curiosity.
- What happens when you're outside the range of the supernova when time loops.
- Watching the supernova from the map.
- Various small bits of lore and lore text that she missed, misread, or immediately forgot because she was skimming in panic / excitement.
She did see what happened when you're outside the range once, she just didn't realize it
There is also a room with lore above the anglerfish fossil cave that she missed because she didn't look up.
Hopefully she'll get the vessel lore next episode. Also, by her words she hasn't even seen the outside of the white hole station
There is a CHANCE that with the pressure off and gravity on, she'll explore the vessel more. It is a very small chance, but it is still a chance.
There's also the stuff that she didn't quite put together, like the "shortcuts" to get to The Vessel faster (going with the ship by building up momentum, skipping the beacon by aiming for the red light / marking it from the rumor board), or how to land on the Quantum Moon properly.
I already miss past Fauna...we'll never see her again after this is done
Can imagine there is going to be a lot of fish related deaths and salty kirin this episode, that's always a winning combo. Hope you feel better soon present Fauna
Fauna without sapling backseating as she goes about doing Kirin things hits way different. Her pure and adulterated or untainted joy in discovering what she can was all such an amazing experience

We learned in this playthrough that Fauna is a space Anglerfish, blind with little memory of what she read and did, but she is a good cook
I am honestly looking forward to the 30+ minute compilation of Fauna looking straight at the WHS while not seeing it.
To be absolutely fair to Fauna, on the first glpyh on that coord part it doesn't look like you can draw those kind of diagonals. Intuitively the lines between all the vertices seem like the only viable paths, especially since the other two glyphs follow them exactly.
Did us so dirty with that ending but amazing all the same lol! Thanks for another fun episode Fauna! Looking forward to the finale!!

She is correct, based on my knowledge of bonks, it is a melee weapon for sure.
Watching her do the dark bramble is like her trying to get on the quantum moon again. Its also interesting how in her first couple of episodes she wasnt scared of dark bramble completely oblivious to the horrors within, but now...
Cant wait for the next episode where we find the White Hole Station at the Eye!
We could all learn a thing or two from Fauna’s positive reframing in this episode. It is an absolute masterclass. The calming sounds of the distress beacon, the relaxing effect of the sleeping angler fish. How cute they are, lighting up our world and they don’t even know it. In another life Fauna was clearly some kind of monk.

What I have learned so far: Reading =/= Understanding. Even if you read and collected every lore and Info, it's useless if you can't UNDERSTAND those.

In this Episode Fauna still thinks the ship and jetpack thrusters are "silent".
So saplings do we think shes gunna finish the game before finding the WHS or will there be some kind of miracle like her falling through the black hole and the WHS just being right in front of her with the sun as a back drop or something idk.
But the WHS is always placed directly between you and the sun…

Today on Fauna Ludicrously Panics through Outer Wilds: we are finally at the end game. Through Fauna's perseverance (and the chat's sodium levels ) she managed to finally figure out the puzzles that will ultimately lead her to the truth of everything that happened! And we end on a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers. What will happen next time?

I've honestly really enjoyed Fauna's playthrough and watching chat's reaction, completely unable to interact with her. I hope Fauna's had a right good laugh at us. This series has been constantly flipping from one extreme to the next. Hopefully, once she's back Fauna can sit down and look back at it with us, maybe she'll even learn a rule or two.

To all the people wondering why she didn't just mark the Vessel to get to it:
I also didn't because I just assumed the non-Euclidian geometry of Dark Bramble wouldn't allow the Deep Space satellite to work there🤷 (The same way trying to open the map in there says "Unable to pin point position") . So maybe Fauna thought the same thing?

Yeah, I also didn't know you could mark the Vessel until I already completed the game. I just assumed that you needed to go through that very specific sequence of portals, with no shortcuts.
I missed that the coordinates are displayed in the lower left, too. Was looking at a notepad sketch instead.
With the way marking the vessel from HUD would still cause the duplicate signal thing, the in lore explanation could be every POI emits some faint frequency that could be picked up by your ship, so it behaves the same way as scout signal duplication properties. And by visiting it you know what noise to pick up to follow those POIs
I did find out you could mark the Vessel, and yeah, it didn't make any sense, like at all, to me. But at that point I was used to marking everything.
When I tried to get the first loop achievement I was like "Oh no how do I do this" and ended up launching a few scouts while I moved through the red room to find the hidden exit and get to the Vessel 🤣🤣🤣.
I didn't trust my signaloscope then because I had gotten trapped in a room that led nowhere (and I think with an anglerfish) by following the Feldspar signal once or twice.
Oh my god this was the most epic gamer episode of all time! She did it in her own Fauna way. But that part just before the cliffhanger!
