I'm pregnant with my second child just now. It's been hard. I'm working and trying to simultaneously study for my masters. For one of my end of term assignments, my nine year old daughter and I are going to collaborate to make a video, with this as the backing track, celebrating our final months as a mother daughter duo before baby boy arrives. It's our anthem and I cry every time we sing it. Honestly, this song brings us so much strength through the struggles. Thank you 💓

for most of my life I feel like I've been told what I should do and who I should be but I've always felt like a free spirit trapped under that. this song reminds me to fight for who I am and want to be!
I wanted to cry when she sang "I am feminine, I am masculine".. I feel that in myself. I'm 100% a woman, but I'm also 100% masculine in my behaviour. And culturally where I'm from, people really detest women with masculine traits. But I find encouragement in this song. We need to celebrate who we are as individuals.
