YEESSS!! Loved the extra commentary and process, please include it in all your future videos! It's super helpful to see the nitty gritty details--I often face these issues/challenges myself and a lot of BTS/tutorials don't cover them. Just what I've been looking for
Just blown away! Especially the medium format shots! It’s awesome to see the comparisons between film and digital of the same shoot. Blown away. Beautiful Irene. Your inspiring.
Beautiful results and you both worked very hard for those shots. The lovely warm tones in the film shots were stunning. The digital shots were beautiful and that 1.2 lens working wonders. I love hearing and seeing the difference in you as you switch formats, the speed and fluidity of digital with the careful and controlled nature of film.
The hardest part about natural light for me is that I have always been told the model must be the brightest part of the image so when the background gets blown out it drives me nuts. I have recently learned that clients don't care so I'm slowly changing my vision even with flash photography. Thanks so much for sharing your experience.
I never follow the rules, and people who say photography should be one specific way know nothing about photography! Listen to your own artistic senses and do what feels right to you! That's what I always tell my students :)
So nice to see you seeking that perfect light and location while with the client ! I have been there and the main thing is learning to stay positive and confident as you search ! I like the way you handled it!
Just want to say thank you for sharing! You helped me find my way~ I think you can try it out as well, blend painting with photos, fine art photography. I think photography is actually the first step to learn painting, because you trained your eyes to see lights and colour and of course composition.
Omg how ironic! That sky blue maxi dress with the white chiffon cover up is exactly what I'm going to wear for my maternity photo shoot. I had a nude maxi dress also to go underneath but I switched it to sky blue also because I'm having a boy. Very sexy and boudoir. I love your style! It's soooooo my style also!
WOW! I could not hide my amazement at these shots Irene! You are so talented, definitely one of my biggest inspirations! (P.S I loved your little laugh when you realised how good the photos were, I do that all the time lol) xx
you have a beautiful gift Irene. I enjoy every video you do & even though I don't shoot this type of photography, I LOVE it & it inspires me to try it. you are so down to earth & the all around girl next door, you capture the beauty in all of your models & give them a gift of elegance for years to come captured by your shots. They are very very fortunate to be chosen by you for these photo shoots , timeless & elegant !!! another great job by you & the model.
Love the trick of using the loupe viewfinder on the LCD screen to review in bright light. I have one from the days when I shot video on the Canon 7D and it's just sitting on my shelf. Might have to put it back to good use :-)
Oooh, Irene, so many things I love about this video! REALLY enjoyed that you included how you struggled with the location/lighting at the beginning, how you directed your model, and the note on bug spray! (I got eaten alive in my shoot last week even WITH bug spray lool) For your next video, could you film more over-the-shoulder footage so we can see both you and the model at the same time when you're directing her? Also, how much time did it take to pick the outfit, do the hair etc? I'm always worried about running out of time, especially with golden-hour shoots since it's so time sensitive. This is also the first time I saw you take a smiling photo, it's lovely! :)
This was so so good. I loved the vlog style, I loved you kept in the struggles in and the editing is beautiful ❤️. Lately I’m having issues with focusing on the eyes when doing full body shots... any tips? I have no idea if I’m doing something wrong or my camera is weird 🙁
Loving your work, love this video very much with commentary. I found it really informative and as such have subscribed to your channel. What viewfinder for the back screen are you using please?
Loving your work, this commentary style is very informative and as such, I’ve subscribed to your channel. Could you tell me what viewfinder for the back screen your using please? Thank you and keep up the great work.

Just want to say thank you for sharing! You helped me find my way~ I think you can try it out as well, blend painting with photos, fine art photography.
