When starting my RB s14 after sitting for a while and wouldn’t start the same way. Changed plugs, added fuel. I had forgot I repinned my crank angle sensor for a different ecu! Repinned and started right up.

When I first swapped in my JDM J32A with a six speed manual into my 2001 Accord and got to starting it for the first time it was missing BADLY for the first few startups and FINALLY it smoothed out and started running smooth. Here in New Zealand the “NZ wiring” trigger kits are an ideal plug and play replace for the cas. Billet plate with an after market sensor. Plug and play with an OEM CAS plug too. The only thing you have to do is change a few settings on your ecu. You should look into them, the owner Geoff is awesome to deal with!
As far as getting "swole" legs from driving stick: One summer of delivering pizzas in my '01 Focus made my left calf noticeably stronger than my right. With the G4X even a properly running stock CAS can be funky, I have a PRP crank only trigger kit with the G4X and it's running like butter, RB25DET R33 as well. Have also heard good things about the NZ wiring trigger kits.
Might be worth keeping some 303 bearings around for when you do stuff like this so you can just put a new one on if the old one is suspect. They're a really common bearing on cars for stuff like ps pumps and alternators starters etc
Hey Jimmy, did you know you can bleed a clutch hydraulic system by: opening bleeder, depressing pedal, closing bleeder, releasing pedal. You are simply replacing what was in the lines, with whatever the mastercylinder is pumping out (hydraulic fluid). I find this method much easier than having to pump it up like you would for brakes.
You shouldn't need a flex pipe if you added a gearbox exhaust bracket as it would all move together then and the flex would happen on the exhaust rubbers! Its how Toyota and Mazda do it from the factory, generally you only get cracking when aftermarket exhausts don't keep this bracket etc which can also lead to turbo exhaust side leaks!
ditch the CAS. fit trigger kit, the are controlled via Link ECU. the CAS wheel upgrade is to compensate cam belt flap which disturbs timing table on high power pulls but 30 year old tech with multiple points of failure. NZ
