Great video..... I used to own a camaro and i would fold my wheelchair up directly behind me without taking my wheels off my chair at all. I found that to be easier for me then to break my wheelchair down and put it back together again so many times. But i found out as i got older. Doing that so many times will wear your shoulders out. So i got rid of my camaro and got myself a van with a lift in it. And yeah i understand sitting in car is much cooler etc. But when you get older you will thank yourself later for saving your shoulders in the long run. Anyway, great video i really enjoyed it. Great car to btw.. that is awesome.
To prepare the bmw ice racecar for Robin we will discuss a handle on the roof for a more fluent swing into the driver seat...We will meet And test the next weeks for that purpose. That handle could be non Permanent with a device to transport huge glass windows. Cheers

Hello there that's impressive your transfer I still use a board. One question do you have some fingers function? Because I'm c6/7 complete and I don't have any fingers function!.
C5/6 for 30 yr and I've always put my chair on it's side to take off the wheels. Your method is so much easier. Were you shown the technique or did you figure it out yourself?
bit of advice id get something that's more the same level to your chair I had many low fast cars, and now I'm paying for it in my shoulders, but they are fun to drive, but you can get a hot 2dr coupe that's higher and even power seat too just my 2 cents :)
Consider me jealous. I'm 1.9 meters tall, and use an 18x18 inch chair - I'd be driving a 911 if I could fit in one, plus get my chair in. Unfortunately the interior ergonomics just won't work for me - I've tried with a 996, and I very much doubt any of the later ones would be any better. I can't make it work in a Panamera either - so I'm stuck with an AMG E class... I say "stuck", but, there are worse cars one could be driving!

Yes I do. I learnt how to drive on hand controls so it's normal for me!
Driving with hand controls is as easy as playing race games on a console :)

Doug Bennett I used to put my chair on the side too until someone showed me that this was better way. So much easier this way!

I think "tetraplegic" is just another term for "quadriplegic."
