Excellent job! I used to have an MX5 Mk 2.5 brand new back in 2004/2005, only kept it 2&1/2 Years before I traded it in for a BMW, but I missed that car Ever since! Seeing this makes me want to get another one and do something similar! (Hard to find with no rust nowadays though, or they have a major welding job need doing if you can find them) Be great to have 2! 1 to keep standard performance and matching one raised and set up for off roading and camping like yours here! 👍🏻

Rooftop tents suck...too hard to put your drunk wife to bed and the late night pee missions are way too difficult....just not practical to need a ladder to get in and out of your tent

have you had any issues with the weight stressing the hardtop? wanted to do something similar but i've been worried about cracking it
I've been jumping around with it. No signs of cracks. The rear support does a lot I think.
