Man, I just want to say thank you! As an ordinary guy trying to build a brand from scratch and having to learn about every part of the process, your videos have been incredibly helpful. I’m not an artist or a photographer, but through your content, I’ve learned how to work as a creative and bring my dreams to life. I’ve had an amazing year in sales, and I’m on track to hit the $1 million mark, with projections of $3-5 million next year. Thank you so much!
I wasn’t expecting a fun “take a product and re-imagine a new design aesthetic - world build a little”. Looking through my house now for a fun December project 🙌
YES! This is how I feel about my pillows. They are not very functional but they are an aesthetic statement piece that tells a story of who the customer is that purchases it. The biggest pushback I get is on price and I feel thats mainly due to the lack of visuals/world building. Like if my visuals were better the price would be an easier pill to swallow. Like your friend Brandon, his visuals go so well with his products that it's a no brainer at least to me. I have all the ideas for how to execute this world but I'm going to need some big capital to make it happen. This was great confirmation! Thank you!!!
Amazing video! I’ve probably watched every single one of your videoes and one thing I always find really valuable is when you mention brands you follow/admire in each industry! Would love it if you had a list of favorite brands😆
Teenage engineering makes pretty crappy products. They are a recapitulation of Dieter Rams' style, and early Sony products, without the functionality. Really hate how tiny they make their controls sometimes. It's cute stuff to be sure, but I doubt anyone in 50 years will go back to their products and say, wow this product produced great results. The Altec Lansing Voice of the Theater had 16 inch woofers and a giant cabinet that could produce massive volume at low power inputs. that was almost 80 years ago and those systems still sound decent. Some old stuff like Collins Radio equipment was so well made people collect them, and they are still usable. I hate pretension.
Here is another content idea i would love to hear your take on, Ordinary day to day living as art. How can normal people apply creative intention and creative direction to day to day life. In a world becoming more aesthetic, how can ordinary people curate their own idea of aesthetics. How can ordinary people make buying choices but viewed through their own uniquely coloured aesthetic lense

Amazing video and channel. Subscribed.
A suggestion: include the references to brands, links, and people in the description. It helps a lot.

yeah I love that idea - I had that "creative direct your life" video a few weeks ago that kind of touches on this, but needs more
totally feel this. Would be interesting to see his take on it.
