I was at this game! My first (and so far) only Packers game I've ever been to. 45-7 against the Cowboys, at least I made it count :)
Quick story: We're from Milwaukee, so at the 12 or 13 min mark, we decided to head home early to beat the traffic. In the parking lot outside of Lambeau, we heard this loud cheering from the stadium. When we looked back, we saw Clay Matthews returning that fumble for a touchdown on the Jumbotron. We started high fiving each other and having our own little celebration. It was a cool moment.

2011 really!? They were the 32nd ranked defense that year and gave up an NFL record in passing yards. If the defense would have been half as good as the year before they would have back to back Super Bowls....defense got torched by everyone in 2011....the offense was so dominate that year it covered it up....that's why a 9-7 Giants team kicked the 15-1 Packers ass in the playoffs.

What a great season. 10-6 doesn’t do it justice. I believe we were never down by more than one score at any point in the season. Had the point differential of a 14-2 or 15-1 team when you think about it. that’s what you can do with a top 10 defense.

Didn't have much at RB, either. Starks went down early in the season, so they basically had Jackson and Kuhn (and Rodgers). They ran the ball a fair amount, but for a low YPA and no real playmakers there. But what a receiving corps, and of course, Rodgers was just hitting his stride.

  • @hihunter7

Rodgers used to have a different aura to him. He used to be hungry. His hungry and poise has been replaced by his experience, and he's still amazing obviously, as good as ever, but if current Rodgers had the drive this Rodgers did, I'm sure we would've won at least another superbowl, and I bet we would've won those games against Seattle in 2015 (2014 season) and against San Fran last year. Yeah our special teams pissed our season away in the matter of a few plays, but it's not like our offense was playing well. I hope Rodgers comes into this year feeling dangerous, a chip on his shoulder for getting crowned via his lack of postseason success, albeit mostly not his fault. We don't need another MVP year out of him, we just need him to come through when the game depends on it. If he can keep our offense running strong despite Adams and MVS being gone, our improved defense will handle the rest. This is our last chance at winning a Superbowl, honestly, and we NEED to do it. A QB like Rodgers does not belong with one ring. Let's go PACK!
