it is water resistant, not exactly as we think as waterproof. it will withstand water up to 6 meter underwater but it is not designed to use underwater water. You could buy a waterproof action camera such as GoPro if that’s your primary aim personally I would not take my iPhone underwater only to take picture

The gap between 15 and 15 pro is wider than 16 and 16 pro. 16 is almost like the pro version. But why would someone need all the power? If the price difference is not huge for you get 16. That doesn’t mean 15 is bad. Its way better than many phones

What’s your use case? Outside video HDR is better, it will give you better highlights and shadows. Issue would be if you are watching it in non HDR screen it will be overly bright or washed out
