It's been 6 months since I left my country and moved to America for my studies. I understand how privileged and fortunate I am. But there is never a moment when I don't miss my home. Every-time I hear this song, my eyes swell up with tears thinking of all the good times that I've had and how I can never reverse time to go back and live those moments again. How can I never be as free and care-free as I once used to be back in my hometown. This song hits me hard every time I hear it, and yet I can't help but listen to it anyway.

I remember hiding from my dad and listening to music, because if he heard how loud I listened to songs, I’d most likely get beat. I remember being stuck with him without my mom for 7 months while she was deployed in Afghanistan. This music was the only thing I really had that helped me through the worst 7 months of my life. I have sobbed so many times listening to this. It honestly so terrifying to me because it feels just like yesterday I was hiding under my bed, blasting this at full volume through my headphones, but here I am, almost 8 years later.
There's something about her voice in this song that makes it incredibly hard for anyone to do a cover to it, and it actually be better than the original!!! Love this song so much 😍
My parents got me the Adele 19 CD instead of her new SKYFALL album, and I thought to myself "Ah man, this isn't the one that I wanted, I won't like any of the songs", I was COMPLETELY wrong... There is no such thing as a bad song for Adele, she's just pure genious... love her
