it's nice to see Rivers covering Green Day, I remember a day in around 1994, bringing my best friend (a lead guitarist in our band) down to my basement and pressing play on the VCR... the screen flickered and started an MTV alternative show I had recorded from the night before, I got to show him the first appearance of Green Day (video for Longview), followed by the first appearance of Weezer (video for the Sweater Song) and Whale (video for Hobo Humpin Slobo Babe)... I blew his mind, man those were the days
bringing Brian up for You Gave Your Love To Me Softly had to be the best part - what an underrated gem. Who am I kidding? Practically all their B-Sides are.

I listened to Pinkerton so many times between its release and 1999, my mind reverts back to whatever I was thinking or feeling at that point every time I hear a song off of it. specially Pink Triangle. Holy shit.

I remember purchasing Pinkerton on cassette on the day of its 1996 release. The intro and "crunchy" reverberations throughout the entire album turned me, a little 13 yr old Weezer fan, into a Weezer follower for life. I've remained faithful to the band this whole time, even through their plethora of bad albums (which I learned to love). I can't wait until Van Weezer is released, and I look forward to attending the HELLA MEGA tour. I only hope their set list is a good length. I've been to many concerts featuring 3 bands and usually left disappointed. I'm going for Weezer and Green day. Sorry Fallout Boy fans!!
Another faithful fan here, since the very beginning. Regarding Hella Mega, I heard Weezer going first then FOB,.....WHY, OH WHY?? Weezer is the better band out of the three. Anyway, maybe I’ll just leave after Weezer is done. 😂. =W=

I feel kind of bad for Rivers, he is really kind of stuck playing stuff from the first two albums when Weezer has an overall pretty good discography
I doubt he doesn't like playing those songs though, especially Pinkerton songs, since he kinda refused to play those songs for a long while

If you were at a concert you'd do the same thing. It's just an issue with the way the sound gets recorded, because I'm sure everyone in there could hear him very well even as they all sang loudly
