I just love how the subtle hints that Prince Jing picked up with Lin Shu's old mannerism makes more and more doubtful about Mei Changsu's real identity.
You can tell that he knows he won’t be able to stay with her, so he doesn’t try to get too close, he doesn’t really push her away, he still cares about her, he just doesn’t want his death to drag her down.

I just paid a little attention to the subtitle and already found it quite often changes the meanings of the dialogues, sometimes subtly, sometimes more significantly.
For me, the 2 men (characters) responsible 4 the deaths of well over 70,000 people r beyond my ability 2 feel tearful over..There is no punishment that could b the balance 4 the enormity of their hands on every sword, knife & arrow that murdered & betrayed... And punishment is long overdue as well as deserved. And the Emperor- - equally & steadfastly shameless 2 the end. Feel sympathy 4 these three?? Not in any fiber of my being. What an amazing writer & impeccable acting-- a great drama in every way! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🏆 It's a joy!

景亭把点心给靖王的时候，后面的小皇子和他的随从也在吃东西，嘴巴一动一动的。虽然是个模糊的背景，但细节做的真好

这部剧最经典的核心就是，坏人不再是一味的坏，坏人也有他的爱人，他所珍惜和在乎的人。通常我看好多剧，只愿意塑造一个完美的“坏人”，坏到极致，坏到抛妻弃子无情无义等等。但其实，像谢玉这样的坏人，塑造的当然更有血肉感啊。夏江也是，看到后面就知道，他跟滑族公主相爱，抛妻弃子，但他肯定也跟滑族公主有着一段很特别的感情经历，否则以滑族公主的心智，断不会轻易把势力交给夏江。生活中，还是有血有肉的坏人比较多。

这一集好多感想. 太子和誉王在太皇太后的丧礼上的互动 就是誉王饿了太子分他点心那块 如果没有欲望和皇位 他们俩应该也可以是一对偶尔斗嘴但相亲相爱的好兄弟吧. 还有就是谢玉离京那里 长公主去送他为他备了衣服和银两 感觉多年过去了 谢玉是真的爱公主而公主也不是不为所动的.
谢玉肯定是爱长公主的啊，要不然21集也不会停止弓箭放过景睿他们了。那集也演了长公主对谢玉的爱啊，可是她也爱景睿，对卓家等人也确实有愧，不想牵连无辜，肯定是要放了他们的。觉得景睿也真的是很善良的，都知道谢玉不是他父亲，还害死了那么多人，但还是去送谢玉，也是挺感人的。其实这家人，除了谢玉，都挺善良，讲义气的。

他那是想把誉王拖下水，大家一起干坏事，誉王就没办法揭发他。誉王也是不争气，这个时候就是饿死也得拽住太子这个把柄
这就是这部剧的可爱之处，坏人也不单单是坏人，抢皇位是一回事，兄弟也曾经是兄弟
大概被景环发现，他也不好意思，不得已分一点儿。我倒不觉得那个时候是为了拉下景环。我觉得那个时候像是你上课偷吃东西，被对面的同学发现了，他正好也饿了，你不好意思就分他一块儿。同学都可如此，更别说是亲兄弟了。这里也是说，党争归党争，其实他们也是兄弟，就像纪王说的，“谁跟谁不是骨肉呢？”
我也注意過這個細節，有點小感動，這是他們全劇中唯一像普通人家兄弟的時刻了。
