Good job I have a brand new gt avalanche. I don’t think you’ll get the same speed downhill with a smaller crank set. But it’s looks cool anyways. I think it’s too soon to replace a 3 ring set crank with front derailleur.
I don’t know, I bought two avalanches, one for me, one for my son. My bike came 1 x 10, his came 3 x 9. We both very quickly decided the 1 x 10 was superior for trail riding, and I converted his bike to 1 x 10 using a Shimano Deore group set. Both bikes are now running 30 T chain rings with 11 to 42 cassettes. If I were starting from scratch, I would go 32T chain ring, 11 to 46 cassette. For the type of riding we do, technical trails in New England, the high speed really is not an issue for us.
What tool did you use to remove the old bottom bracket? Also did you have to use any other tool to install the new dub bottom bracket or does it use the same tool?
The old bottom bracket I used a bike bottom bracket removal tool with 20 teeth spline. Common. find it at a bike shop, Amazon, or eBay. A different tool, To put the dub bottom bracket on I use special tool . Brand (Park Tool) called BBT - 79. Got on Amazon. Well I hope that helps.
I’m enjoying your videos on upgrading the avalanche, and I’d be interested to know approximately how much money you put into upgrading this bike.

What cassette did you use !? Trying to upgrade my 9speed to a 12 but don’t know which one will fit
Que peso tiene la bici con el up grade realizado???
Hi, I was wondering did you get the NX group set with the boosted or non boosted?
How are you liking the drivetrain? I have the same bike, and was thinking of getting this drivetrain someday.
The NX sram drive trains working great. work out the kinks doing good
I'll probably switch out the rear wheel for better engagement. Spank Hex hub.
Part number for the kit????

@@tristanmayberry9142 Do you need to replace the rear hub for the new cassette to fit?
@@ScottieBoom Not at that time did not replace the hub. I was told if you have a 9 sprocket cassette that a 12 would work. And It did.
