Harp Twins:
We live in Northern Illinois, but our heritage is Norwegian. We love giving back to our world. We sponsor girls in Africa and we have been volunteer companions for children and young adults with special needs for many years. We’re 3rd Degree Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do and "Distinguished Experts" in rifle marksmanship, but do not hunt and are vegetarian.
Our new silver Electro-Acoustic Pedal Harps make their RUclips debut! “Fade to Black" is our most requested song of all time, our 5th Metallica cover, and our longest Metallica cover to date! We wanted to do justice to this amazing song - and not just the most well-known portions. So, we arranged the whole song - some parts were definitely more harp-friendly to arrange than others, but we love how it turned out! We think the harps give the song a beautiful, ethereal and haunting quality. We also included some distortion since these harps can be electrified! Our video camera broke while we were filing our last music video, so this video was filmed by our mom entirely on our iPhone and edited by us. A huge THANK YOU to all of the amazing fans who contributed to our campaign for these amazing chrome electro-acoustic harps!.

I can answer a few more questions if you like, the girls are on Halloween Tour right now in the Seattle/Portland area. 😊
- The Concert Grand Electro-Accoustic harps you see here were made in France have 7 pedals and 47 strings. They move the pedals to change the pitch of the strings (flat to natural, natural to sharp). There is a pedal for each note, from left to right we have D-C-H--E-F-G-A. There are thousands of mechanical parts inside of these harps, as moving a pedal pulls the corresponding strings tighter or not so tight, thus changing their pitch. They are electro-accoustic, which means that you can play them unplugged like a normal harp (that's because they have their own sound box) but each string also has an individual pickup, so you can plug them into amplifiers or distortion pedals. This makes them ideal for larger venues and for music recording.
- It can be tricky moving these harps around, they weigh more than 80 pounds each, but the girls are doing this all by themselves. They have trolleys to move them around, and C&K are physically much stronger than they look. 💪💪
- They buy some outfits, some are gifted to them, and they and their Mom keep changing outfits so they look completely new. They are very frugal. 😊
- When they are outside recording a music video, they really do sing and play the song, but they don't use this audio track (because of the noises of wind, people etc), only the video. The music you hear they mix in at home in their living room. It is professionally mixed and mastered by a British Mixing / Mastering / Production Engineer called Kevin Bartlett. He is amazing, every work he does looks and sounds triple-A quality.

A great review of the finest harpists on the planet. The coloured strings are an aid to playing - the red strings are all the C strings and the black are F. There are 7 pedals on the harp, one for each note on the scale A to G, which change the pitch of the respective strings to sharp or flat. The sound will have been recorded separately in the Twins’ living room and they will then edit it into the video themselves because it would be impossible to get a clean enough recording in the open air. They have a lot of this background information on their second RUclips channel: Harp Twins Happenings.

I enjoyed watching your reaction video of the Harp Twins' music video of Metallica's 'Fade to Black'! I can tell you feel like I do on how much there is to admire and appreciate of their work. They pay attention to every detail. I'm looking forward to more of your reaction videos of them in the future! Here's my prediction, the more you review, the more astounded you will be! They will be touring Europe beginning in February 2024. I hope you'll have a chance to see a live show of theirs and get to meet them in person! They are truly amazing!
