Hello! Thanks for your awesome movies! I got the 60mm f2.8 from 7Artisans for my zfc and found macro photography much harder than I expected :) But lens is great. Yet got no decent macro photos but I'm trying.
Hey, thanks for stopping by! Oh cool, yes macro takes a lot of trial and error (at least for me). I thought it would be very difficult with this 100mm lens but I think it helps. Don’t give up, you’ll get the hang of it 👍🏻
I have the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 and I love it. I'm shooting handheld only. Using a flash and compact diffusor to get down to f/8-11 for a wider depth of field.
@@RolandKaufmann understandable. Once set up it‘s really easy though. You barely need to change your camera settings since the flash makes 95% of your overall available light.
Thanks!! Oh very interesting, I was going to try the 40mm f2.8 lens but then saw this 100mm version. I liked that the focus movement is all internal and that I wouldn’t have to get as close to the insects haha
@@RolandKaufmann Oh you are right...! I had to get more closer to the subject. 100mm looks better in every way because 40mm lens look ugly when its in macro zoom mode. 🤣🤣

Very cool!! That’s a great lens. I definitely want to try and shoot with diffused flash, just didn’t have time to go buy one and set it up this time.

@@RolandKaufmann Downside is you need to pay more attention the background. If it‘s too far away everything but the subject becomes black.

I did same stuff just like you did when I got my TTartisan 40mm f2.8. LOL. I should have gotten 100mm. It looks a lot better. Awesome shots!
