These AI podcasts have constant morning TV vibes. They are surprisingly good but can't change tone at all and really aren't right for heavier topics yet. I do like that people are trying to summarize interesting and complex topics but all of the weight or seriousness is sucked out.
It's like if good morning America covered the anthropic principle

I never understood the strong anthropic principle as relating to life, or even intelligence, but simply consciousness. The point of the cosmos is to extend and consolidate consciousness. At the end there could be just particles, totally entropied out with no available energy, and a universal Consciousness ... God? That finally closes the cosmic wave function? Paul Davies did a fascinating interview on Closer to Truth titled (for some reason) "Is Math Invented or Discovered?"

Is language invented or discovered? Same thing. Math is a modeling language.

@@alexxx4434 Yes, that is a whole separate question and I have always wondered why CTT elected to include that particular interview in that particular series! But let me ask you, is that all math is? It almost seems to me sometimes if Max Tegmark is right. All a particle is - a bunch of numerical values representing charge, atomic weight, spin, etc. We know there isn't any little hard thing there really. So is the universe just made of math? And our minds are simply software that takes these mathematical values and constructs a reality for us?

@AmitySapiens Universe is certainly not made of math. It's we who have described universe in math language. It's our interpretation. It's just the best language for the task ATM.

@@alexxx4434 Max Tegmark is saying that reality has ONLY mathematical properties, and that seems to me to be true. The only thing that is perhaps not "pixelated" or quantized "might" be gravity.

@@AmitySapiens To me the fact that we can describe something in terms of some language does not supplant the real thing with its language representation.

I've seen a few of these AI generated podcasts now and if it's going to work, they have to make the AI less agreeable. The characters are always seething with over saturated pleasantry which not only makes it obvious that it's AI, but would make me want to turn it off even if it were people. Underlying tech is cool, but either the models gonna have to get a lot better or the prompting is going to have to get a lot better. As of now, it's just really annoying to listen to.

yeah once i found out like two seconds in i immediately clicked off. Dog shit AI and stupid idea. If you lack the charisma and verbal intelligence necessary to excel in such a simple domain as podcasting, just don't touch it, and don't further shit up the format with this AI slop.
