I will say EVEN if this is meant to be a group event the Noorderlicht which follows this convoy is completely unbalanced the damn thing can fire 5 mortars IN A ROW and is basically impossible to avoid/brace all the damage and before you can recover it's usually fired ANOTHER 5 mortars because it has no reload time
Yep, I agree. That's why I was sailing a Tank Ship Class for this Convoy. This recording I made, was my first attempt so I didn't really do what a Tank would do. I will record another vid soon to show what a Tank Ship could do to distract Noorderlicht. That ship + other ships around it, if you kept your distance from it, it would keep spamming Mortar Shots. Which will do big damage. But with that strategy, you will probably need a friend to help with DPSing the Merchant ship. Oh, you might see lots of red circle when doing this Convoy, some of the shots are probably coming from another Ship (Merchant Ship included, they will throw mortar at you too). Some of the Warship will also use Leopold "Mortar" which will decay some of your Hull HP.
For Merchant Convoy: To Profitable Ports, you will get a Mysterious Chest which you can have the chance to get Pieces of Eight from it. There are other items you can receive from the Mysterious Chest too, related to the Helm, if you don't get Pieces of Eight. There will also be some other stuff depending on their nation drop, as for this, it's DMC, plus, a treasure map. I have also attempted to destroy the Escort Ship but, it only dropped cannonball. So, it's best to just ignore that Heavy Duty Ship. Also, I noticed, it's slightly easier to do this Convoy if there is someone with you or in your team, is using a Tank Class Ship. So, the Tank can keep the Escort Ship busy while the DPS Class Ship focus on the Merchant Ship.
