Always interesting to see how people decide to tackle a jigsaw. I've done all three of those puzzles and I did find Minu's pond difficult. I didn't time myself so no idea how long they took. Definitely longer than 90 minutes that you are allowed at Worlds. I wouldn't bother with trays for individual competition. I think one or two individual competitors used those at Worlds but only when they got towards the end of the puzzle for shape sorting purposes. Trays tend to be used for pairs and teams. To some degree image will dictate whether you do lots of sorting or not. I hope that you will enjoy yourself at the competition getting to meet fellow puzzlers.
Nice video. Liked the shared thoughts. About trays... Cutting some foam board can work as flat light-weight trays and they stack a lot less balky. But since they have no edges they work a little differently. But then again, I don't speed puzzle, and always struggle to function on small tables. 😅
Looking forward to seeing you at Nationals! At the PW booth or otherwise. That last puzzle looks tough--I haven't done it yet for that reason! I always struggle with the "right" amount to sort at the beginning, but my default is edges plus 1-2 other things. I have gotten that to about 5min. Even if I don't start with those piles, I don't have to look through them when looking for other things, so I find it helpful. And if I don't know what to do next while speeding, I end up pulling out another color.
"I'm not a speed puzzler, I'm more of a casual puzzler."

It's a very fitting name :)
I, personally, puzzle for fun but follow Karen Puzzles. I hope you get to meet her as she is a wonderful person to know! Good luck.
Good work! 🧩👍🏻
Thanks! 👍

Yeah trays just made me more clumsy and overall didn't save me any time.
I think your times were pretty good on the first two that last one looked really hard. It only had about 3 colors overall. Well done.
Yeah that last one was a tricky one!

I use foam board quite frequently but since you get penalized for having pieces fall off the table I was looking for something that had edges.
