I’m 79 and been retired twenty years. We just update a spreadsheet which shows our financial position every month. We don’t budget, if the graph trends up we can relax our spending, if down too fast we become more cautious, it happens automatically we don’t think about it or budget.
But the best financial plan is a healthy diet and a lot of exercise.
A healthy lifestyle tends to be cheaper, cycling and hiking don't cost much and keep you out of the shops. Your healthy active lifespan should be longer, we are still skiing, cycling and hiking, one or the other every day, and the period of chronic ailments tends to be shorter or non existent, given luck you just don't wake up one morning.

I retired at age 53, so I am in my early 60s. Many of them resisted me because they couldn't understand the idea of not working if it wasn't necessary. I considered the phases of my life. I worked very hard to achieve what I have now, but in my last years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses." In my instance, I departed the nation after retiring and currently reside in Latin America. It made it possible for me to appreciate my new surroundings while escaping all the bad things that were going on in America. Nobody that I know of regrets retiring has yet to come to me.

I like the Key Takeaways segment at the end, or the beginning would be good, too.

You mentioned “the how to retire podcast “ at beginning of presentation. Is this available as a podcast? I searched on apple podcasts and couldn’t find it. Please advise, thanks.

Diversification is the secret to optimal performance. This is why I have my interests set on market sectors based on performance and projected growth, such as the EV sector, renewable energy, Tech, and Health. Keep investing regularly and you'll be blown away how much it can change in a few short years. Here's to $1 million and to FIRE

I don't see spending less than one "could have" due to the uncertainty of LTC as fear. Sounds like prudence.
