    Lovely first fish Jake, never heard of Yoke Hill before, it’s not that far from me. Just a quick question, on my local I’d be expected to use a 36 inch landing net for that lump, I’ve asked why, and response was that pan nets damage or injure the larger fish? Is that true? I don’t use one when match fishing. Strange.

    • @MatchFishingFilms
      @MatchFishingFilms  3 года назад +2

      If I was fishing solely for big fish I would use a bigger net, but to be honest I've never seen a fish injured in the smaller nets. But if there is the chance to catch lumps I will use a bigger net for sure.

    Hi pal great video. Used these tactics over the weekend on a open water venue in 8ft and had a problem with foul hooking. What should I be considering to solve this issue and the balance between attracting new fish into the swim and making sure keep fish feeding on the bottom to ensure there properly hooked ?

    • @MatchFishingFilms
      @MatchFishingFilms  3 года назад +1

      In deeper water I'd be tempted to feed through a big pot. I've had success by covering the bottom of the big pot with 6mm's and then nailing the rig over the top until I get a bite. It's a slower way of fishing but can keep the fish down. The occasional bit of loose feed over the top doesn't hurt either
