    So basically a modified Australian model for Europe. I welcome the better fridge compartment and the pull out kitchen, but this isn't really the model that I hoped to see. I would have really liked to have seen the internal kitchen being retained and an internal wetroom with toilet and shower. The heater/water boiler is a very welcome addition and quite frankly, should have been on all Opus campers from the beginning in my opinion. The drop down corner steadies are far better than caravan style ones as they have a greater reach. As with the Opus Offroad model, the suspension is very good and is fit for purpose. I think the Swift Basecamp caravans should also take a leaf out of your book pertaining to suspension. The ORX is pretty good overall but fails to make me ooze with enthusiasm to purchase one.

    Would still like to see incorporated more use of solar or yacht-like mini wind generators plus battery storage for true off grid experience

      We love this idea also, something that we're looking into here. You can plug in a third party solar panel with a charge regulator to give you battery charging whilst off-grid :)

      Do you have a good link for a small enough wind turbine that ypu cpuod mount on the top rack? I saw a farm the other day in Texas that had a cylinder style wind generator instead of the big fan blade style. This cylinder still had fins to catch the wind... anyhow you have a great idea
      PLUS, People should look into portable water generators in case you happen to camp by a moving stream or river

      @@JASE101 Sounds like an interesting concept! Unfortunately it's not something that we're aware of at the moment. I will pass on to our engineering team to investigate :)

    Good to see you guys finally get the Aussie Spec Opus over there. Watching this vid was like doing a walk around mine 4 yrs ago lol. Only thing I've noticed is that this one has no where near the ground clearance that ours in Australia has, but then again the UK doesn't have the kind of terrain that we have here

      It's taken a while to get through the UK approval process but we're very happy to have it here!

    Hello! Love this - looks amazing. A couple of questions: does the ORX replace the classic version or is it a separate addition to the range? Also, can you still get the awning option with extra bedrooms with these pull-out kitchen/fridge? Can’t work out if there’s enough room for both in this video. Thanks in advance

      Hi, thanks for the comment, glad you're loving the ORX! The ORX is focussed on off-grid adventures and offers a different aspect to camping than our Off-Road and All-Road OPUS models. The inflatable Air Awning is included in the price on the ORX and it will have double bedroom pods either side like on our All-Road and Off-Road models. When the kitchen and fridge drawer is out, access to the bedrooms is restricted however when it comes to evening both can slid back into the camper ready for a perfect nights sleep! Hope this helps :)

      Depending on how you load the van the nose weight will be between 110 and 165kg

    WTF does Natty mean? Is that Zoomer slang for cool or something? Lol

    • @OPUSCamperHQ
      @OPUSCamperHQ  Месяц назад +1

      Hi Matey Mate! The word natty has been in use in the English language since as far back as 1785 - although it experienced a renaissance in the 1900s, it has been enjoying a resurgence in popularity since the 1980s! It comes from the Anglo-French 'neit', French 'net' usually understood as 'clean', 'pure' or 'tidy'.
