Fix Starnet after PixInsight update?!

- I ran into a problem with Starnet++ after updating to the latest PixInsight. This will probably happen with all major updates. It reverted back to its super sloooow speed. I discovered a fix though, a simple one, that worked and got Starnet++ speeding along again. Check out the video for more info!

Great info, made the file adjustments, just waiting to complete some new data acquisition runs to give it at try and confirm the speed is back.

Starnet is alive and well again! I did a test on M20 before and after replacing tensorflow. It went from 53sec to 14sec! Thanks a lot Shawn! U rock!
Thanks for letting us know about this. Makes you wonder why the Pixinsight team don't make Dark Archon's .dll part of their standard install since it works much faster.
On a test image before the copy it took 34 seconds, after it took 13 seconds. Thanks for the great tip.

Awesome work around Sean. I can't use Dark Archon's anyway as I don't not have a Nvidia card but someday when I do get a new processing computer I will have it. Just curious, how did discover or of think of replacing the dll file? - Cheers Kurt
Thanks Shwan it was indeed very slow after the update I have don the fix en no it is really faster.
I was told anytime you update your GPU or PixInsight you have to redo Dark's accelerator
Im on Mac, so I never got the speed boost anyway lol - Started a thread on their forum about NSG+Drizzle and was told that they see the demand and will look into it!
Did Dark Archon's website change or shut down? I clicked on the link in the description and I get an error screen that the site can't be reached.
The link worked earlier. Must be a temp site problem. Could be down. I'd keep checking every now and then.
@@VisibledarkAstro Shawn, I had a very good look at the site and I'm 100% convinced it's been hacked...I posted a reply detailing my investigation on the PixInsight beginner's group on Facebook...
Can i use intel iris graphics to speed up this or am i fkd until i get my hands on a gpu?
I suspect screwed until you get a nvidia cuda based gpu...
PI should have went with OpenCL and not cuda...

Hey, buddy, you are extremely intelligent with great videos, but after many hours, I cannot handle the uhms, and uhs, that take place 10 times per sentence. Also you need to blink once in a while.
