The message is good, but a little out of context. Many preachers are missing these and how Isaiah 60 identified its subject in the second verse and in the ninth. First of all, the subject is a certain nation, a country called “the Isles” in verse 9. The same subject in previous chapters of Isaiah: 40:15, 41:1-8, 42:4, 42:10, 42:12, 49:1-3, 51:5, 59:18 even Psalms 97:1. Also, the setting is miscalculated, because “darkness shall cover the earth...darkness the people” means non Christian countries surrounding “the Isles”. These countries are Buddhist, Hindu, Islam, Taoist, Shinto, etc. And where on earth are these dark religion but in Asia. So the subject of Isaiah 60 is an islands Christian country in Asia. Remember what Jesus said to the Jews in Matthew 21:43. Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
