@@robertknight4672 I know right!? Leave the hair alone people. Also it's not like they have it done up like a beehive from the movie Hairspray. I thought we should only be worried about math and teaching and not wasting time about "social issues" anyway... LOL
The problem with the school district's dress code is that the word length was not in their dress code before the Crown Act took effect on September 1. They added the word length after the Crown Act took effect in order to try to circumvent this law because the Crown Act doesn't say anything about length.
So, if I understand correctly, should a family have a tradition of showering only once per month, it would be ok to attend an institution stinking to high heaven. It is the bad apple that spoiled the entire basket. The bad apple being one precedent that opened the door for any claim.
@@DJ-oy2oq- I have to say, I feel like you don’t understand what an analogy is. Just because someone uses an analogy about being dirty does not mean they’re implying the main subject has anything to do with being dirty in the slightest.
@@AndMiddle- I disagree with you mentioning that a bad apple spoils the bunch. I kid wanting to wear their hair out is not a bad apple. Many kids push their individuality and/or push boundaries. I do think your analogy about having a tradition of not showering is perfectly fine. It could be better, but it’s still something for people to think about if they care to be objective at all.
Out of the hairstyles listed, only the Afro originated in the African culture. Dreadlocks started in Greece, braids originated with the Nordics. The crown act is based solely on ignorance.
Yea and Texas was Built on black people and hey HAVE TO accept black hair. The boy is keeping his hair up to appease the school. That should be enough. The rules is very stupid. Let kids learn.
All hair is natural hair should be allowed in any public school regardless of the length, type, race, ethnic.
How could you get any more natural than hair that hasn't been cut? It doesn't cut itself.

Go work any blue collar job and tell me it doesn't exist corporate racism
Grades are far more important than hair
The tragic, human-terrorizing a particular human strata constantly tears my soulstrings.
OMG! I’m living 1968 all over again. Did you see the play: “Hair”??
