I had a w116 with the om617, I almost lost an engine due to the prior mechanic actually pulled the studs out of the oil filter housing and then used loctite to fasten the studs. The filter housing studs pulled out and spilled oil all over the place. I shut the engine down. Replaced the studs with 3/8 bolt/nuts and did an oil change. Thankfully no damage to the engine.
Class car!!. I just don't like why America had to have the big bumpers (being from Europe myself) and the yellow fog lights. Beautiful car and so comfortable to drive and be driven in! Tank alright! 👍👍
Here we go again!…. I will repeat one more time. I love American bumpers and they look good on these cars. And they also are a lot stronger than Euro bumpers. American bumpers make the car look great. Euro bumpers make the car look chopped off!..
@@anthonycurran1298 you can use one of these: amzn.to/3RDShbE On W123s you might need to do a slight modification to this compressor tool by grinding down the portion of the shaft where you put a socket on. Otherwise it may not fit through the spring tower/perch hole.

the downside of no oil leaks is that the parts aren't protected from rust from the seepage xD
True! But everything else on this car was fluid filmed and greased up underneath. Everything is protected well!
