top notch kudos to Sean Moore for his homage to welsh formula 1 legend Tom Pryce on his bass drum - 5 black stripes on white background - Tom's helmet colour scheme
I was so hoping they would play this in Boston but the show they did put on was fantastic and I can't complain. They don't often tour the US so one can't blame them for leaning on older, sturdier material, but I'd just as soon listen to Postcards or Tigers as opposed to anything from the early years. I'll take what I can get and damn did they Give.
Its not although I guess you could interpret it as that. Its a quote from the subject matter of Nickys lyrics , relating to Augustus and Gwen John the Welsh brother and sister artists 🎨 🎨
It's a Gordon Smith Graduate. He's had it a while. Doesn't see much live use though. He's played Gordon Smith guitars in the very early days of the band, a GS1 that can be seen in the Motown Junk video.
@@Bansidhe I know. I've had a GS1 60 for about 18 months now, does everything I want a Les Paul Junior-style guitar to do, and half the price of a Gibson. I'm genuinely considering ordering a Goldtop Graduate like the one James is playing here.
@@underneonloneliness2 that rings a bell, saw a clip of him using it on From Despair to Where on that tour. He also used it on Tsunami when they played Sziget in 2014. It's also in the Distant Colours video and a performance of This Is The Day on the Ruth Jones Show. Definitely a lesser-seen guitar of his, hope to see it more, as it sounds really good. I do like P90 pickups...

Is the wording in the background a nod to the recent tax hikes?
Its not although I guess you could interpret it as that.

No
Fuck that’s a depressing time shot of covid obsession
That's not a Gibson Les Paul. I wonder what it is.
