Really hope she gets the courage to use the mobility scooter, I'm sure it would make so much difference to her and give her a little more independence. Sending so much love to you all ❤️❤️ xxx

Can you imagine if men were the people needing HRT it would be an all out national emergency if it wasn’t readily available. I did hear mention of it a few months ago but then it all went quiet and I’d wrongly assumed the issue was all sorted.

Thank you for the update Carla. Sorry to hear that your Mum is not very well, hopefully she will gain the confidence to go out on her motobility scooter, especially when the better weather is here. I have ostio arthritis in both my knees, I am waiting to see the physio to have quortozone injections, this cold weather doesn't help. I am like you and your Mum and prefer the summer months, especially the lighter mornings and evenings 🤗. Sending lots of love to you and your lovely family and Mum xx

I can relate to so much of this. I started HRT around 8 months ago and it’s been a lifesaver.
My mom brought a electric wheelchair last year, but she’s just not very confident in it, guess it’s a age thing. She would never go out alone in it and around the shops she could do with a warning 😮 life will improve with HRT Carla x

Ohhh lovely Carla , you are such a lovely soul , thank you for sharing , you echo so much of what most of us ladies are going through..... Menopause, HRT is great , but it's not a magic bullet , I thought I'd turn back to a 20 year old.....but not so..😥😥😥, I feel this winter has been extra long for some reason , and mood is so connected to it , I like you are much better in the summer....., But on we go , hoping for the best , trying to be in the moment, but we have to learn to be kinder to ourselves , life is tough , but as women we try to be all things to everyone , do take care .......and remember your SPECIAL.......XXX💟💟💟

I’m glad you’re starting HRT-you sound similar to me symptoms wise and I’ve also started on Oestrogel and Utrogestan (which I also think is the best and safest form) and have had great results so far. Good luck, I’m sure you won’t regret it. Many many more women should be on HRT for their health, not suffering needlessly.

Hi carla I decided not to go on hrt and its been difficult very difficult but I've got thru it , im now 60 . I have cervical spondylosis and my neck is soo bad it crunches and seizes and I get spasms in my arms and they jump about . The specialist wanted to remove several things to do with my discs 4,5,6,7,and 8 and place a metal cage around them but I'm just too much of a coward to have it done , I also have a constant tremor of my head . I hope you get some relief with the hrt and your joints I had my new hip 3 years ago and it's been brilliant xxx

Hi Carla , thanks for your update. Pleased your eyes are sorted shame about the HRT. I cannot understand this shortage, it is ridiculous, anyway hope you get it soon. I had a very good menopause, total hysterectomy at 45 and on HRT for 10 years and never had any symptoms so I was lucky. Feel for all who suffer, so good luck with that. My partner has just had the heart failure thing but I think it covers a lot of variations. Hope your mum gets to master her scooter, it will be life changing for her. Your dogs are lovely and I was wondering how Kai got on so hope he does well. Spring is here so hopefully the gloom will lift, it is just a shame it has gone so cold! Stay well!!!

My Labrador had ear problems most of his life costing me many hundreds £ at the vets and causing him pain and discomfort then I came across somethings so simple but complete game changer’s
#1 head torch why I never thought of it sooner I don’t know 🙄 but seeing what your doing crucial
#2 haemostats watching hundreds of dog groomers using them I got some for a few quid on Amazon
#3 green tea. It’s very soothing and anti fungal and anti bacterial let the tea bag steep so it’s nice and strong and cool to blood temp then use cotton wool to get plenty in the ear using the haemostats to get very carefully into all the nooks and crannies. Don’t go in too far then use dry cotton wool to get as much of the wet out as possible
#canastan cream use ordinary over the counter Canastan cream on the outer part of the ear flap. I used to use a q tip to get it in the nooks & crannies
Changing to cleaning / treating his ears like this completely fixed a lifetime of torment for him.
I can’t tell you how many vets we’d seen over the years that had cost a fortune both in consultation fees and prescription ointments and tablets
I can’t remember how many ear washes it took but each time less and less gunk was coming out until they were completely clean and no more was needed and times between cleaning had got longer and longer until it was let’s just give them a clean to see how they’re doing and the torment was over
We sadly lost him last year but at least he had happy ears his last year or two
The green tea / canastan I learned from an online vet btw.
    X

I’ve been so lucky with my menopause it was just a matter if my monthly’s stopping they didn’t even slow down they just stopped. It’s been 4 years now and I’m 55, the only symptom I had was the odd hot flush but I don’t get them now.
That pillow looked great just what I’m looking for, I wake up with neck pain every morning as i need to lie flat but not too flat. I lie on my side as I have bad hips, degenerative osteoarthritis and use a cushion between my knees to ease pain. I’ll look into those pillows. Lovely to have a catch up. Xxxx

Carla...... If you go low carb it will stop your sugar and refined consumption addiction .... It will also rectify your inflammation in your joints and hormonal imbalances....
I can tell you from my own experiences that I have rid myself od diabetes, excess weight and high blood pressure, inflammation......... I am like a new person.
Calorie counting won't work where carbs and sugars are I clouded because they spike your insulin that promotes holding onto fat and inflammation in the body... Leading to worse things.
I know you don't like opinions but this is truth.... What you put into your body is what you get out of it 🙏

Regarding your seasonal disorder, I gather it can be because of low vitamin D. I take a daily supplement of 5000 international units which has 100mg vitamin K2 in it. It’s also supposed to be good for your bones and for the immune system. It might be worth a try if you’re not taking it already.

Dear Carla, I love how you love your dogs and make a good life for them as they age. It makes me so mad when some people surrender their dogs just because they can’t handle the End of Life stuff
I agree about the cervical spine (neck) having nothing to do with the cervix, so why name it that, I don’t know!!
Your health issues remind me of me, a few (hah!) years ago. I have two fake knees and a fake hip and believe me, it changes your world when you can stand and walk for more than a few minutes without pain. Yes, people will preach about your weight, but that doesn’t change your need. In fact, now that I have less pain I can get around more and it helps with the weight… just the Circle of Life!!
Something that has helped my sleep is a CPAP machine. As soon as I started using it, I regained that deep restful sleep that helps everything. Have you had a sleep study? You described how you snore when you are on your back, and that is a red flag for sleep apnea.
Thank you for sharing so openly. Sometimes it helps others who are going through the same things. I look forward to your posts!

Lynn here on Hubby's phone 😏, Hi Carla , Honestly I swear to God , you Kazza and me have the same bodies , what with diet ,knees , the change and the likes were Living the dream all three of us aren't we , has for your mum and the scooter , tell her to go for it , I swear she will never look back , I really struggled after I had a op in my fourties which didn't go to plan shall we say , I fort the pain for two years before I decided to us a scooter , it gives you back some life , I'd still be sat in the house all the time twelve years later , yes she should definitely be brave and go for it , what I did was have a go in an empty car park till I got used to it and then they'll be no stopping her , she'll love it you see 🤗, as for your dogs , I've been through that too a few times it's heart breaking , but I'm still glad I had time together with them , it's so special your bond with your dog , I wish I could have another , but with my Arthritis now it's very hard , I prey you still have quite a while with them yet , Take Care Carla Love and remember your you tube friends are here for you , you mean a lot to a lot of people, I wish you well 🤞 xx

Well I’m sorry! But you look the picture of health!😂😂😂🥰You would never know to look at you, that you was going through it all. But I do think, if you look ok(make up and hair looks good👍) you are giving out that vibe you are ok to everybody🙏🏻I think you will feel a lot better and you can convince yourself aswel as other people that you are doing great, you do just get on with it🙏🏻 I’m the same, stomach problems, tendons in the top of my arm is crap!! , but when people ask how you are you just say fine and you keep on smiling😁 Tomorrow is another day in paradise. God willing🙏🏻😇😎🐥💐🍷

HRT is a life savour. But you need to decide ,I am sure you have read up on it .I went on it but when it came to my daughter she has decided the homeopathic route is her choice ,so we are all different .
Get onto the list to get your knee done ,it’s a life savour ,it’s all done through a physio now but hype it up if necessary ,I have had both done .
Hope your Mum finds the courage to get onto her scooter it will open up some independence for her.
It made me quite sad when you were talking about Buddy and Kyle ,it’s horrible thinking you might loose them ,but not for a while I hope ,it’s the worst kind of hurt. But you know that .
Hope you have a good week🤗

Hi Carla not sure if this would be helpful for your mom but years ago my elderly mother-in-law was in hospital for a period of time. When she came out she had lost her confidence using her mobility scooter because she had not used it for a month. So what we decided was that I would go to her place and walk alongside her a couple of times just to boost her confidence using her scooter again. It worked like a charm, perhaps your mom might like you or one of her grandkids to do the same? Anyhow just thought it was worth a mention.

We've been doing that now for two weeks - she still won't take it out on her own.

Please go back to your GP they should be able to prescribe a similar HRT that is available.

Hi Carla you should feel like a new woman after you get your HRT worked out. I’m on it but unfortunately it doesn’t help me with my sleeping x
