    Hi, thank you for the very informative video, I was thinking of deleting the spare wheel well to fit a big diffuser on my track car and this will be useful;
    are you sure you needed to add the bar to the chassis? I don't think the well has any structural functions.

    • @SMTMOTORSPORT
      @SMTMOTORSPORT  4 года назад +1

      I don’t think so no but it’s up to you how to cut out ur car that’s just the way I did mine 🙂👍🏻

      @@SMTMOTORSPORT Thank you for your answer;
      It seems to me that the spare wheel well is just a sheet metal bucket hanged at the bottom of the trunk but, considering that some e46 like to destroy that zone of the chassis, a bit of reinforcement is anyway a good idea.
      Keep on the good job.

But great build by yourself to bud! Anyways can you explain more about the vacuum system that sit along side the battery box in what you did with it when you ran the bmw engine! Cheers

    Like your build a lot! But I have a question, what's the benefit of deleting the spare wheel well? At first I thought you were going to tube chassis the rear.

    • @SMTMOTORSPORT
      @SMTMOTORSPORT  7 лет назад +3

      Extrmfan there's not massive gains, it saves weight, u can fit diffuser better, change exhaust, jack car up on diff easier, I mostly only did it because I wanted to move battery away from corner and I just hated that wheel well 😂

    • @RobynTapps
      @RobynTapps 6 лет назад

      Flat spot for a fuel cell, weight, some cars like the e30 have the tank in the shittiest spot with the drive shaft running between two halves of the tank. If your looking for areo gains this will only hinder aero on most bmws unless you put a diffuser under the car.
