    Congratulations on this post. Like 8. Very interesting how charcoal is produced. Charcoal is used as fuel for heaters, fireplaces, barbecues, wood stoves, in addition to supplying some industrial sectors. Thanks for sharing us. We, here in Brazil, highly value your work and share it with our family and friends. If possible share ours so we can grow together. God bless you.

      hi keep an eye on the colour of the smoke ..if there is still moisture in the wood the smoke will show. It will be more white-grey in colour. As soon as the moisture is out the smoke turns darker This will give you an indication that the charcoal pitt can be closed up. Now leave it at least overnight to ensure it is completely dead otherwise it will start burning again as soon as it gets air. You will find that the times you burn differ depending on the wood how wet it is and how thick. After a burn or two you will get the feel of it and get great results

    Can we use wet wood?

    • @tomepic
      @tomepic  11 месяцев назад

      the wood in this video was only cut a few days before. as long as you have enough starter wood to get the fire going wet wood is fine.

      Thank you. I am typing from Nigeria. Which country are you from.? 2) If I leave it for too long 3 or 4 days, hope it won't turns to ash ?

      I am from south africa . I learnt this method in mozambiq. You will see it does not take to long only a few hours to turn to charcoal. But it all depends on wetness and thickness of the wood. You will quickly learn how to do it with the wood you use. If you to your first few attempts you will get the hang of it for if you waited to long or to short. The wood that did not all turn to charcoal can be used again in the next burn. Once you get the feel of it it is easy. The smoke will turn from white to black or bdark blue This means the most steam is out and the charcoal is ready. This method can make a good business. I use to make long trenches of 5 meters and burn 3 of them and make 1 ton charcoal in 2 days and sell it@@florencetomi2223
