We have a vixen S2 , 1968 G reg in the UK , very early wide body ( Tuscan ) S2 Vixen , was ordered as a V8 but customer changed his mind and factory had already moulded the V8 Tuscan vixen body shell with a sausage nose bonnet ! Came with a cross flow 1600 ford as a kit in the end , was crashed in 80s and sausage nose bonnet destroyed , has a normal bonnet like yours now , but with a 4.6 rover & T5 5sp race box , heavily modified now with one off race chassis and Gripper axle clutch etc , 350 bhp , were taking it out today for the first time in 5 years after another mod rebuild ! Bill touching £70k or more now ! Will put a video on here today if I can ....Taking here over the black mountains in Wales 400 miles + drive ....

In the same period we had the Marcus, gilbern invader, lotus elans, and then the major manufacturers. The 3 litre ford engined car flew.

It would be great if you could do a series of these covering the history of the early cars.

I could kick myself for all the great cars I've had and sold for peanuts over the years. Had one of these too, and sold it for £1800 ! Albeit not in the fantastic condition this one's in !
