As someone who got to meet KZ way before her breakthrough and fame, I can confirm that she is a certified UDD superfan. Complete attendance on all their concerts in Davao where she went to college. Haha. Knows even the earliest UDD songs from Fragmented that are not Oo, like We Give In Sometimes. So yeah. May pinaghuhugutan siya sa covers niya. 😉

We should say aloud what we do not agree with...the song depicts that our voices need to be heard. This band has compositions that have messages that the listeners can have their own choices. Good musical talents!
Up Dharma Down was a popular Filipino indie band in the early 2000s who produced great music. Tadhana is their most requested song and also the most covered. KZ did a cover of Tadhana on the wish bus.

Up Dharma Down is the band that like to tne intimate with their audience and captivate their soul while performing... They're so cool & soothing , it really pierced one's soul...Glad that you are liking their sound...
I totally agree with you on her voice, she is a legend. And on the drums, as a drummer, a real, conventional kit gives you the “oomph” and fullness of the sound that electric kits cannot give. Thanks for appreciating OPM, you guys are legit music lovers! Always love your reactions
One of my fave bands here. I "sometimes" forgot how good PH music is. This is a good era for PH music again, theres a lot of filipinos who are supporting PH musicians now and wants to promote them through social media. I suddenly found myself nowadays listening to Ph music more than western music. Our music is getting better and better and i love it.

Thank you for liking our bands. There are a lot of bands in the 🇵🇭 and they play different kinds of music - jazz, reggae, rock, pop rock, indie pop, skaa, full orchestra with trumpets.
From what i remember years ago, they got their major break when BBC featured them in the early 2000s. Thats the time Pinoys started to notice UDD

I saw them live once and I was ecstatic the whole time. She can heal my sadness by singinf more sad songs.
This are one of the legit bands/artists of the philippines. Up Dharma, South Border, Side A Band, Kitchey Nadal and many more, they were very popular from 90s-2000s... Budakhel, Morissete and others known filipino singer nowadays are not as same level with these guys. New singers nowadays are great singers but they dont make original songs like these OGs who made so many great OPM hits in the past.
Very chill band. They are very technical when it comes to music effects. One of the best band in the Philippines.
If you're familiar with D'Sound (the Norwegian band), Armi (the female vocalist) provided vocals for one of their songs. The title is "Lykkelig" which partly has Tagalog lyrics. She sounded so great there, too. Totally made the song really D'Sound vibe. Love her. Thanks for the reaction! And thanks for appreciating Filipino talents.

You know what's crazy is KZ Tandingan did a cover of UDD's Tadhana. You guys can try checking it out cause definitely it's a really really good cover. I swear you won't regret it.
I'm actually quite surprised you guys don't do a lot more reactions for UDD, most of the modern bands you've listened to cite them as inspirations for their music and you can hear that too. They've been a huge part of the music scene for a very long time, they have such a unique sound even when the music scene was populated by Emo, and Grunge back in the early 2000's
One of my favorite song ..I'm glad you reacting more to classic bands from 90's 2000's I hope more of them ...including parokya ni edgar ,hale,kitchie Nadal and many more..

the imperfection is what it makes it natural. electric drums are too perfect.. to the point they are trying even to recreate that imperfections. :D
the middle song (Oo) is an iconic song everyone knows it. it's in every filipino heartbroken playlist. haha
I love watching them play live because they change up pieces on their song like how they slowed down and teased the beat here. which is honestly amazing if you're there in the audience.

yesss i love Oo! found the song by chance a few years ago and it's one of my faves
UDD songs are timeless, they've been originally released around two decades already and you can still hear teenagers digging those songs.

I've known UDD but didn't know they're this amazing live. I'm floored.
i watch them live in Nuvali (its an open field in between malls and it was full packed) They were so good! and she was wearing a dress. It gives u goosebumps in person Live.

I heard and watch her live a decade ago honestly her voce before was kinda inviting and in a way light and its like the feeling you feel when you are thingking of a fantasy... I fell in love in her voice... Hahaha.. Like i said before if a singer doesn't make you feel things, cry, have goosebumps, fall in love, or remember your 1st love or your 1st heartache means that singer is just normal but if the singer made you feel at least one of those things means he or she is special

I watched this because they're my favorite band, the first two songs is their staple but the last one Sigurado(surely) is the one I'm waiting for. They have so many songs unheard by many people. Sana(Hopefully) and Sigurado are the songs that I can recommend.

For about a year... In 2010-2011, i would see Up Dharma Down every 3rd Saturday of the month at Saguijo (a lowkey bar in a residential area) in Makati... They are really chill and would give you eargasms haha! The small place was always jampacked and a lot of people would end up jamming on the street or the parking area with a bottle of beer in their hands 🙂
I play Drums and i preffer the acoustic rather than the electric although i love electric as well. You can express more in accoustic than in electric D. Its just that the soundwaves (Physics😉) of the accoustic drums are more tastier🙃.

there was a song released around 1995 by the band. sugar hiccup called "5 years' it talks about all emotions from hope to despair in a love story - with just 1 line. it is very interesting
