I picked up a swirly ESP Zone OS at a tournament yesterday and used it twice. Both shots worked exactly like I expected it to, to get around shorter, high fade needed shots for big turns. I currently have a zone, a raptor eye slammer, and the zone OS in my bag, all for different shots. The slammer is only throw backhand. The zones I throw forehand and which one depends on the distance of the shot and how soon I need it to fade.
I use my zone os on any forehand shot 230 and lower and I love the consistency. I only have like 350ft power backhand and 320-50 forehand so it works for us lower arm speed guys.
People, including professionals, have loved the justice, deflector and mutant for a good while. The zone OS never struck me as a meme disc, but simply intended to fill a similar slot in the discraft lineup.
It's the same thing as the Tilt. Yeah, they're both super dumb if you try to throw them like they aren't utility discs, but they are utility discs. [The Tilt has a much smaller window of utility, but you CAN find a use for it.[ The Zone OS seems to fit the same slot as a Justice, too, which nobody blinks an eye at. Maybe the fact that the Zone is so beloved made people get upset at the idea of tinkering with it.
My zone OS beat in a bit and it isn't as beefy now. However, it is a super important scramble disc for me. TBH, I can accomplish the same stuff with a beefy zone, Toro, Harp, Drone, Quake. You get the idea.
Is this a good disc to hook around trees? I end up in trees at least once per round on my wooded course and usually use a RPM Kea (similar to Innova Gator) to get out
The more Brodie talks, the less I like him. I've thrown the zone and zone os. The Zone OS is just a gimmicky disc like the tilt. 99% of all disc golfers don't need and most can't use this silly disc. I'd take a zone everytime over a zone os. My walker is just as stable as the zone os but it actually goes zone distance but more stable
I use mine all the time and love it
Just wanted to say that I love your edits. You got those very small cuts and clips that make the whole thing so much more entertaining.
Agree.
Thank you! 🙌

Zone OS is a like a Tilt. It is very good if you know how to use it.

Prodigy A2, comes in a ton of different plastics and it’s very useful for backhand or forehand

i’m pretty sure the reason why paul dissed the zone os is bc brodie helped design it and it’s his tour series disc. and those guys’ beef goes deep.
I didn't hear about Brodie designing it! Where did you hear that?

I looks to fly like a Justice, which is one of my favorite discs.

It is rapidly becoming my go to upshot disc, i throw it sidearm anhyzer and it just lands like a helicopter, great for short s lines also.
I like the Zone OS for shots between 125-150 feet.
I absolutely love my jawbreaker zone OS. USADGC darkhorse doubles exclusive release. So money
Zone + Kastaplast Jarn is $$$. I don't have a problem with you doing some advert to make a living and content.
Foot fault
I bought two of them. Too over stable for me, so the second one will remain un-thrown and will become a giveaway at our end of year tournament
i bag 2 tilts. for reasons...
3:46 lmao

Yeah it's definitely still the Zone for me! that is all I really need in terms of overstability!
