I know everyone seems to dislike these for the straightforward, un-politically correct wit, what is perceived as an abrasive or disrespectful sense of humor infused with the retelling. I think they are the best in the genre. So many crime shows sugar coat realities, painting these insanely unrealistic portraits of the victims as the best humans who ever walked the earth, and the perpetrators as wholly evil. The reality of humanity is rarely so black and white.
She was an easy target. He saw she had a violent ex so saw her as vulnerable and therefore “grateful” to be with him. How dare she deny him when she should be grateful to have a tough guy, potentially able to beat up her previous tough guy boyfriend. He had a “right” to have her as he pleased. I hope he’s treated the same way by the inmates in prison. 😏
