I'd like to say you're right, because I really like both Ilinca and this song, but you're not. She's great at yodelling, but to say she's better than most famous female artist, that's just not true.

I’ll give you 10 reasons that might make you want to vote for these two.
1. MOST IMPORTANT: They are the DEFINITION of this years theme. “Celebrate diversity”. Not only did they mix rapping and yodelling, there are also pop-rock and soul elements in there if you listen carefully. And also the mix of his rough voice and her angel-like voice.
2. Both of them have great voices.
3. Both of them are really down to earth human beings, therefore they would deserve to win.
4. They don’t have very much on stage going on. Why? Because their talent alone is enough.
5. They have a crazy energy on stage.
6. They’re actually Romanians from Romania. So Romania didn’t have to hire somebody from another country (like so many in the last years) only to participate for them.
7. It’s an uplifting song and something new and original.
8. She managed to wear a nice, short dress at ESC without being fucking vulgar to get more votes that have nothing to do with her ability to sing.
9. Their original video of this song was filmed in Romania. And it looks great.
10. And a personal one: I dislike most rap songs and usually don’t listen to yodelling, but they made me like this mix. Which is kind of crazy.

From where I stand, I feel that this song brought a defining moment in Romanian music. It's a new beginning. It's well rounded, the instruments come together in such harmony, the chorus is catchy and the two bridges make me feel like I can conquer anything. It's powerful. On top of this, to have such two charismatic singers with killer expresive voices, I can't stop listening to it. It's been on repeat for three days and still can't get enough of it. I asked a six years old today to listen to it, and at the end of it he said, "this song is stuck in my head now! Is that good?" "Yes, it's really good! And I'm happy you feel this way. But why, Tyson? Why do you feel this way?" I asked him. "Because it makes me happy."...from the mouth of a child.

It did go 5th on people's vote. But the juries did not like it that much, them sophisticated elites, voting only for story, not necessarily for talent (if you know what I mean; well he sang beautifully, but what put him on top was his heart disease story)
