I mean, to be honest, I wouldn't call this a mega-build, something like Grian's base would be a mega-build, Scar's is just a large build. Don't get me wrong, Scar is a good builder, very good. But this is nowhere near to the scale that it would have to be, to be classed as a mega-build. It's still a great build, but I don't see how it's taken weeks to build, if that's factoring in the materials needed, then it makes some sense, but actually constructing it wouldn't take too long.

The chicken on the coocoo clock is such a nice tough, a small recommendation is to change the minecart it's in to a boat of the same wood type as the trap door it's resting on, that way it blends in better and you can see the chicken more from the ground, I love the little chicken so much though!
Yeah! I love that building. I dont play minecraft and dont know how it works but I was wondering if it would be possible to do some redstoning so that the chicken comes out on the track every hour or something like that

When that time lapse started I immediately noticed the amount of detail that was being put in. Main street is absolutely amazing the way you put story and life in your builds is inspiring

Sorter storage rooms are impractical, there's just too many items. Single item sorters take too much space, multi-item sorters are way too small, and sorters that require you to leave one item in every slot takes too much discipline. Even the redstoners usually build them as a fun project more than anything and just end up rummaging through chest monsters 99% of the time.
The funniest part of the video is at 4:55 due to Grian waiting patiently to use skulk shriekers to produce a loud noise, catching GoodTimesWithScar off guard.

I genuinely can’t choose a favorite building b/c they’re all so detailed and unique!! btw you don’t ever need to apologize for taking a month (or more!) to build something. Take whatever amount of time you need for stuff. You needed a month to finish this massive project, and that’s that! :) You poured your heart into this, and it shows! I absolutely love this

I like that dragon head building. They're all really good! My favorite is still the yellow one with the purple roof. I'd say put a smaller tree in place of the one covering it up. I bet you could get out of debt really quickly by restocking your Redstone shop. I've seen two or three Hermits try to clean you out only to discover that your store is empty.
I concur with both sentiments. Scar should definitely restock his shop. Maybe even go around and give personalized deliveries if the Hermits are online. Might get him some Uber tips. 😀

When Scar doesn’t post for a while, we normally assume that he is going through some sort of illness, (If one doesn’t have social media) so seeing him taking the time to do the extra mile to create something he is passionate about is so amazing! Thank you for all the hard work you have been putting into Hermitcraft Scar!
I'm so glad he didn't post because of this reason. It's so nice that it's because of good reasons like this and not because of his illness, obviously his videos were missed by me but the man deserves to just be happy and feel good
Really changed my perspective on minecraft building. I used to get so bored on my wolrds because I would make something, like a farm or storage system, and build around it. Working with those parameters really limited me, and I couldn't get as creative as I wanted. Watching you do this makes me want to challenge myself to build whatever I want, find some references or cool ideas and just go for it, and *then* see what I could use the space for. I also don't have to use the space! It can be a facade that's there to hell the area look nice and tell the story. There's no rule saying I have to fill every building. There's no rules at all! I should be doing what I *want* to do in minecraft, and not what I feel like I *should* or *have* to be doing!
the use of flowerpots to show not only pots for flowers but details on the roof of one building just made me inspired to do my own detailed creations, hopefully up to this level. I do like the use of item frames to show light as if it were a movie theater from back in the day.
Scar doesn't just build, he puts his heart and soul into each and every one of the blocks he places in each and every one of his builds. It's truly inspiring what he does, the story he tells with it, even the emotion it takes you through. I was so inspired and happy I almost shed a tear.
Some of the buildings’ main floors will actually be shops, won’t they? There should be a bakery and a souvenir store, at least. Maybe a hat store for all of Scar’s wacky hats.
you call bdubs and pearl artists and i think that term applies to you as well! you put so much heart and passion into your works that it's incredibly hard not to feel it as well as a viewer to your builds! not only are you an artist through building, but by the stories you create for each and every thing you do! it all comes together to make something incredibly awesome :}
One cannot simply defeat the almighty chest monster, the act of heroism and courage that Pearl has brought upon the cursed lands of Hermit Craft has only put the monster to sleep, one day he shall rise again, and when he does you will need a lot more than one cleaning lady.
I'm slowly exploring the hermits' content after being introduced to some through the life series and I'm so glad I found Scar! I actually don't play Minecraft myself despite enjoying Minecraft videos, and this video was the first time I realized I really love and admire the creativity and drive that builders have, as well as your perfection to detail and commitment to storytelling. Also, Scar, your voice is just so easy to listen to and your laughter is infectious, I feel like I can hear you smiling as you talk and it makes your videos more fun to watch. Your skin fits that perfectly too. Loved the video and keep up the amazin' work!
What's genius about the theme-park idea is that there really is a lot of potential for building beyond the colorful facade of the main guest thoroughfares. There is a lot of area devoted to "logistics": staff areas, food prep, loading/unloading areas, warehouses, etc. You could even have Disney-style tunnels underneath for staff. Once you have the facade put together, you can really do a lot of building behind that to support the park.
I'd love to see the under ground highway like what Disney has at some of their parks, and maybe you could have a behind the scenes rollercoaster that go through it and shows off the redstone for the storage system.

Seriously, this is the most EPIC thing EVER. We watch as a family, and the every time we saw your build, both my boys would have dropped jaws. "It looks just like Disneyland!" was a commonly heard refrain at the dinner table. Absolutely STUNNING work. We LOVE it!
This build would look incredible with shaders. I was just imagining the last panning shot with the cherry trees and the sunset. What do you think about doing a small showcase every once and a while with a shader installed?

Just an idea: with the addition of custom sounds you could use railways and Redstone to make the coo-coo clock functional.
Mumbo made a similar redstone clock in his "what if zombies could use redstone?" video, I'm sure he'd love to make it so the clock actually worked at midday and midnight :D
I like that dragon head building. They're all really good! My favorite is still the yellow one with the purple roof. I'd say put a smaller tree in place of the one covering it up.
I bet you could get out of debt really quickly by restocking your Redstone shop. I've seen two or three Hermits try to clean you out only to discover that your store is empty.
I concur with both sentiments. Scar should definitely restock his shop. Maybe even go around and give personalized deliveries if the Hermits are online. Might get him some Uber tips. 😀

I would recommend using a smaller tree in front of the red building i love that palette. But the trees give a lot of atmosphere.

When Scar doesn’t post for a while, we normally assume that he is going through some sort of illness, (If one doesn’t have social media) so seeing him taking the time to do the extra mile to create something he is passionate about is so amazing! Thank you for all the hard work you have been putting into Hermitcraft Scar!
I'm so glad he didn't post because of this reason. It's so nice that it's because of good reasons like this and not because of his illness, obviously his videos were missed by me but the man deserves to just be happy and feel good
Really changed my perspective on minecraft building. I used to get so bored on my wolrds because I would make something, like a farm or storage system, and build around it. Working with those parameters really limited me, and I couldn't get as creative as I wanted. Watching you do this makes me want to challenge myself to build whatever I want, find some references or cool ideas and just go for it, and *then* see what I could use the space for. I also don't have to use the space! It can be a facade that's there to hell the area look nice and tell the story. There's no rule saying I have to fill every building. There's no rules at all! I should be doing what I *want* to do in minecraft, and not what I feel like I *should* or *have* to be doing!
This is the long way to tell yourself: JUST DO IT
the use of flowerpots to show not only pots for flowers but details on the roof of one building just made me inspired to do my own detailed creations, hopefully up to this level. I do like the use of item frames to show light as if it were a movie theater from back in the day.
That Pixar type music in the background is just wonderful

Scar doesn't just build, he puts his heart and soul into each and every one of the blocks he places in each and every one of his builds. It's truly inspiring what he does, the story he tells with it, even the emotion it takes you through. I was so inspired and happy I almost shed a tear.
Some of the buildings’ main floors will actually be shops, won’t they?
There should be a bakery and a souvenir store, at least. Maybe a hat store for all of Scar’s wacky hats.

One cannot simply defeat the almighty chest monster, the act of heroism and courage that Pearl has brought upon the cursed lands of Hermit Craft has only put the monster to sleep, one day he shall rise again, and when he does you will need a lot more than one cleaning lady.
I'm slowly exploring the hermits' content after being introduced to some through the life series and I'm so glad I found Scar! I actually don't play Minecraft myself despite enjoying Minecraft videos, and this video was the first time I realized I really love and admire the creativity and drive that builders have, as well as your perfection to detail and commitment to storytelling. Also, Scar, your voice is just so easy to listen to and your laughter is infectious, I feel like I can hear you smiling as you talk and it makes your videos more fun to watch. Your skin fits that perfectly too. Loved the video and keep up the amazin' work!
This is so sweet! I was introduced to Hermitcraft through Grian, and since then I've been a dedicated follower of him, Scar, Bdubs, and Doc.

What's genius about the theme-park idea is that there really is a lot of potential for building beyond the colorful facade of the main guest thoroughfares. There is a lot of area devoted to "logistics": staff areas, food prep, loading/unloading areas, warehouses, etc. You could even have Disney-style tunnels underneath for staff. Once you have the facade put together, you can really do a lot of building behind that to support the park.
I'd love to see the under ground highway like what Disney has at some of their parks, and maybe you could have a behind the scenes rollercoaster that go through it and shows off the redstone for the storage system.
Scar definitely always goes the extra mile with his episodes and his builds
