This is without a doubt the lest intuitive oven I've ever attempted to use. RUclips videos like this one, mostly tell you what it can do, but little to no time is spent showing you how to use it. I know exactly what temperature and time I need, but found it impossible to set.

we have had ours for years. i wish it was bigger ha! the way the controls worked did take a little getting used to at first. if someone comes over and tries to use it, they will prob need help since it is not very intuitive so i would not get this for commercial use. my next one i buy will be a commercial one that is much larger like the avantco full size one. we use it for dehydrating veg, etc, making yogurt, air frying seafood, etc.. quick broiling like a smaller salamander, and toasting. it is not large enough to cook more than one whole chicken with fixings but perfect for medium size skillet broil.
I bought the oven & although I love it, there is definitely a learning curve. I have questions after watching all the videos I could find & your guide doesnt cover the elements 1) are you supposed to clean the heating element bars? If so, how do you do that, 2) how do you recommend cooking bacon because all the videos say air frying it at high temp causes so much smoke it sets off the smoke alarm.
That's the primary reason I'm looking to buy this cooking machine is for that temperature probe! I'm not at all a cook but I have to start cooking my own healthy meals, doctors orders, and so I need to make sure my chicken breast and Salmon are cooked properly!
I’d like to see a comparison of the NuWave Bravo XL and the Ninja Foodi Grill. I’m a dissatisfied Brava user who is trying to replace my unit with a more user-friendly product.
I like my nuwave just fine but a temp knob a timer, a selector for the elements and fan would do just fine without all the goofy presets. This would be more simple and as effective

This may come a bit late. But set your oven to the highest temperate possible and leave it like that for two to six hours. All food stuff will turn to dust and will be easier to wipe off.
Just bought one, it’s about half of what I paid for a Breville. The Breville lasted exactly 4 years and then just completely stopped working. Hope this lasts at least 4 years.
Hi Marilyn, feel free to contact our culinary team at Culinary@nuwavenow.com and remember we recommend evenly spacing for the fries to be able to cook thoroughly and you may add a drizzle of oil or cooking spray to give that extra crunch texture.
Is the unit hot on the outside? Is it good isolation? The reason I ask is because my surface is not real hard countertop but there is some fake plastic cover. It might melt it if temperature outside (meaning on the bottom and on the sides and back) is too high.
We recommend placing the Bravo XL away from flammable projects, as it is an oven it does get warm or even hot depending on how hot it is set to, however the controls and the handle to the Bravo will remain cool to touch while you are cooking!
This seems simple. Buts can you do a tutorial on how you would cook bacon? I'm seeing so many people having issues with something that seems so simple. People are posting cooking times of 30m at low temps because the smoke is so bad at 400deg (and it's still not crispy). Can you please advise?

The Bravo XL can absolutely grill steaks and cook grilled cheese or chicken breasts. For grilling use the grill function or use the Top/Bottom button to set the bottom temperature to 100%, meaning all the heat will come from the bottom heating element. If you like to sear it first, use the sear function which is also a button on the Bravo XL, when you see sear 1, it means the Bravo will sear your food in the beginning and if you huddle over to sear 2, the Bravo XL will sear it at the end. Grilled cheese can be obtained by toasting the food on a broiler rack with a high temperature (400-425 F) to ensure the bread gets a some browning.
@@nuwaveoven Thanks! Husband returned a Ninja Foodie Smart XL 6 in 1 Grill which I liked but he cooks more than me and he bought the Brio 14QT by NuWave and steaks were great. But than he saw this one and it's smaller and matches better and we were really just trying to find out if this is just as good better if we should try this one or keep what we have. But if this is just as good just smaller he would prefer this one. Thanks! Someone recommended we watch this other video we haven't done it yet.
I tried to do wings again in the air fryer it leaks smoke the whole house up. I’ve been trying to get in touch with customer service for weeks I emailed them and have no response. I do not like my oven at all. The directions are horrible.
It is the same as cooking bacon stove top . . . the water content is at first driven off requiring full exhaust fan over your stove. There is a lot of steam/smoke until the bacon is rendered. Then, you can turn your fan down. This is the same thing a toaster-oven has to deal with, but without a full powered filter-fan vent system. A full scale fan-exhaust-grease trap would be great, but most people can't deal with the cleaning required. Professionals have to deal with their kitchen venting and grease traps! One expensive mistake I made with an exotic microwave that had an auto-cook shutoff. I tried to make bratwurst in beer . . . the alcohol was driven out of the beer and destroyed the sensor! The sensor part cost as much as the entire microwave. COOKING BACON -- One of the best ways to cook bacon is draping several layers of paper towel over a large bowel, and laying the bacon across the paper towel. The paper towels absorb the water driven out of the bacon, preventing 'smoke.' Try it a few times, and you will get perfect rendered bacon that is almost grease-free.
