If as a kid someone told me there were people that actually played through these levels with the settings maxxed like this, I would’ve never believed it. Outside of levels like Dam and Runway, it seemed completely impossible
Thanks. The strategy that Luke used on his Aztec 00A 1:35 is really tough to get a completion with too. Aztec's one of my best levels on normal mode but I wouldn't want to try using the strategy that he did on the 00A skill level.
Yes, this is still the world record by 51 seconds. A lot of players use a safer ending so that loses them a lot of time. It took me 18 attempts to survive running through the final room without killing all the guards first.
Thanks. The grenades are fairly common on this level so they're not really a major problem. The part where I ran through the final room while three guards were still alive took me 18 attempts though 😒 This run took me 75 hours after I started playing it again for the first time for several years. Around 35 hours of that was testing strategies and practise runs and 40 hours or that were real runs before I got the completion.
I remember hearing MANY years ago that it you beat Aztec on, what is now known as DLTK, in under 9 minutes you'd unlock "All Bonds"...So can we see the Connery, Moore and Dalton models please, Adam? ;) inb4 I know "All Bonds DLTK" was a Nintendo Power April Fools joke.
I've not heard that before so it must be a joke :) The only Aztec cheat you can unlock is the 2 x Laser cheat for completing it on Secret Agent in under 9 minutes.

Thanks :) When I first completed Aztec LTK I found that it was fairly safe to run across to the other side of the room whilst the four crate guards were still alive so I soon realised that they weren't the most deadly guards on the game. This seemed to be because the laser is a slow firing gun and they can only shoot 5 bullets at a time and then there is a long pause between each round of 5 bullets. The running across the room idea progressed after I first completed Aztec DLTK. I did some more testing and found that if I ran across towards the opposite vent and then quickly cut back across to the near side of the room on the way to the mainframe then I could sometimes reach it without being hit. After I started playing the level again recently, I was using the above strat to begin with but then I tried running directly to the mainframe on some practise runs to see if it worked and found it was possible to survive that way so I started using that strat instead.
Yes, it's a very similar idea to the Trev leave strat on Statue DLTK. The guards in the Statue Trev area also have slow firing guns too and they're less likely to hit you if you're running across a room or area rather than directly towards them. I doubt you could survive anywhere near as often doing my Aztec ending strat or the Statue DLTK Trev leave strat if the guards all had faster firing guns like the AR33 Assault Rifle for example.

Awesome. You have almost done this DLTK level in a tenth of the time I originally took. I will make a point I believe you are number one at GE. There's a more pressing question to answer. When will you fight real humans this hard to beat? Or find yourself in a situation to take all those risks? I know it can be exciting or thrilling but some of the best real spies might not use a gun, be seen, or even leave their office. If you played multiplayer with me, the elite, or anyone else that might be good it would be epic. Shooters aren't my top games. Congrats again.
You need a Nintendo 64 emulator. I think the one that most people use is called Mupen so have a look for that online. It didn't work very well for me when I tried it though.
Man I can't even beat this level on regular 00 Agent, here you are speedrunning 007 mode. Respect.

Not hatin' on Luke but this is lightyears ahead of Aztec 00A 1:35 in terms of a crazy speedrun.

Sweet, makes me think back to discovering just strafing towards trev and between/away from the guards fully in sight on statue :D

I have no idea whats going on here, how are the guards not seeing bond in the second room?
There's a bug in the game where the bridge in the middle of the room acts like an invisible wall so the guards won't shoot through it.
