Pilla lenses are great but it’s easy to overdue it on the lens tints. While the examples provide some idea of the effects of the different tints, in practice I’ve found the benefit to be somewhat muted. I’m not saying there isn’t some benefit, there is, just don’t expect a significant benefit. I find this especially true on the lenses for low light conditions. Best to find a couple of lenses for high and medium light conditions and for low light just go with the 92 or the 98.

Great video. Will help at lot of shooters who ate undecided. For low light i have the standard 76HC yellow. Would a 92 lens help a little more as we head into the winter months? If so which one exactly as there are a few options. Thanks in advance.

Yes the 76 is fine, so in my opinion there would be no need to buy a 78 or an 80. 92CIL would be a good option though!

Ed good round up - you have already suplied me with perfect alround lenses...those are only lacking when orange clays are on white background - like snow or cloud - any solution for that scenario?

So Pilla made the new 30DC for this which is a reformulation of the older blue lens. I’ll do a review on it!

What would be best for super sunny Florida, orange or black clay against blue sky or partly cloudy sky?

I’d look at something like the 18CED if you’re not overly light sensitive, then the 9.5 CIED if you are glare susceptible

Purple family - I find the new 19CIN a bit better for boosting orange contrast but it is all pretty subjective 🍊 💥

Does eye colour make a difference to lens colour? Purples wash out for me, with dark brown eyes, reds and the X-sight Rose Diamond lenses I find the best. What would be the equivalent in the Pilla range for these?

      No, total myth.
You’d probably like the 15 CIHC, RGHL and RGLL, plus the 28CR. Personally I find these too harsh and love the purples. Colour preference is so subjective!

I’m looking to get in the next couple of days and I’m looking for an all around Lens that would make the orange pop what would you recommend?
