It seems like all Yor needs to have peace of mind about killing is for her employer to tell her, "You're helping to protect world peace by assassinating who we tell you to". It's a similar situation to Loid and how he rationalizes his own license to kill. There's a dark subtext to the show that I think people miss through all the memes and genuinely wholesome content. Yor and Loid are both orphans who strive to (in Loid's words) create world peace... but their bloody jobs end up taking lives, inevitably creating more orphans in the process. Yeah, you thought it was all fun and games when Loid blew up 4 people just to give Yor a grenade pin wedding ring. This issue is even played for laughs in episode 5 when Yor daydreams about having to kill a man just so Anya could take his son's spot at Eden College.
Yor's so far removed from anything Twilight has ever dealt with, but she has all of the best qualities of being a mother/companion. And that's why they really are the best pairing for one another.
Loid and Yor really make great partners in caring for Anya and compensating for each other’s weaknesses. It’s ingenious that such a pairing with so many similarities and differences have such a believable dynamic. It’s no wonder Anya loves them.

I loved how most of the time she’s so adorable but at the same time she could snap someone like a twig or stop a cow by pressing a few pressure points.

Yor steps in quietly enough to startle Loid, a trained spy, and she's observant enough to tell when said spy is watching her. Those were nice bits of foreshadowing before the big Thorn Princess scene.
Notice how Yor's eyes were more lifeless in her first appearances before she joins the family. She wore a blank expression more often. Even Camilla comments on it later in the show. I think it's because of just how abnormal she is, she doesn't fit in and probably given up on trying to fit in atp. Her meeting Loid and Anya and having a family who adores her and values her despite her quirks has clearly boosted her morale and self esteem. I'm always happy when Yor is shown love and reassurance!
The scene of Yor and Loyd about to kiss passionately is just pure comedy gold to me and my brother for some reason. The way she just chugs an entire bottle of wine and then lumbers on top of Loyd is just hilarious
