Brother Gbile has said it all. I have a serious problem with that Dr Damina preaches. I don't understand how someone that has Holy Spirit will be comfortable listening to him. . He is more confused than he is fused.
The truth is that once saved is forever saved if the saved remains in faith until the very end. If you once confessed Jesus and later fell out of faith, you will lose your salvation. Jesus was vocal about this in Math 7:21-23, "21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!."
As per second deaths, every true believer can only die once, and that is to leave this world. The second death comes after judgment, one whose name is not written in the Lamb book of life will face a second death, that is to be confirmed eternally dead. However, a believer will only die once and live for eternity.

There is a difference between living in sin and falling victim to sin. If a true believer falls victim, the Holy Spirit will rebuke the fellow, he or she will not willfully go back to the same sin again, the fellow will repent. But one who is living in sin, no matter what the Holy Spirit says to him or her, they don't show remorse or repent, instead they go back to the same sin, looking for a way to justify their sinful act. That is why Jesus called them workers of Iniquity. God is so clear about remaining consistent in faith to the very end. Paul also asked shall we continue in sin that grace may abound, He answered it by saying God forbid. God did not save you that you may continue to live in sin, but that you may live above sin. That is called GRACE or work of Grace “ to live above sin.
Point of correction, The scripture I quoted is not only talking about the wolves, but men and women who have the gift to heal the sick, cast out devils, perform signs and wonders. Someone could receive a vision from God today and could be just any revelation, it is our duty as students of the bible to subject same to the scriptures. Maybe the question you should ask is: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO OVERCOME? WHAT DID JESUS MEAN BY OVERCOMING? The writer of revelation is APOSTLE JOHN. So if you want to understand fully what John is reporting to us here you have to go to the epistles of John. In the 5th epistle of John, John clearly shows us that to overcome simply means to believe in Jesus. "Who is he that overcomes the world but he that believes that Jesus is the Christ!" So if you take that back to revelation and put it into what Jesus said there, it shows you that to overcome is to believe in Jesus Christ to the very end! To overcome is to hold on to faith in Jesus Christ to the very end. And in the book of Colossians chapter One, Paul showed us that the only condition we have been given to inherit the Kingdom is to hold on to the Faith of Christ to the very end. Peter writing showed us that the one thing that satan is after is our FAITH! So that brings us to the conclusion that FAITH IN CHRIST IS THE ONLY CONDITION FOR INHERITING THE KINGDOM.

If anybody debates what Abel Damina says as true or false, it means the person is a fool. Because is not like it sounds right at all. Abel Damina is telling you i know more than Angels, i know more than the elder who called Jesus the lion of Judah, i know God more than all the prophets and all the writers of the scriptures etc. If you see someone talking like this and still debate whether he is right or not, it will mean you are an absolute fool.

It is a wrong view of salvation that makes you guys think a believer can lose his or salvation. Second death has no hold on those who have believed in Christ. Jesus was emphasizing this truth. Always remember the scripture in question was decided by a group of men to be called scripture. I personally don't subscribe to the doctrine that nothing should be questioned. The Berean Christians searched the scriptures after Paul taught them to ensure what he taught was correct, if you don't question (like ask the deep questions that people deem unquestionable), how will you actually learn. Moreover the same scriptures say, test every spirit. You need to compare and contrast to understand same way Jesus taught in His parables by doing comparing and contrasting between man's way and God's way.

May folks here are very sentimental. I challenge all of you to teach the early church materials between the last Apostle John and below Augustine of Hippo. All the materials are free on the internet. Only Abel and those that are preaching Christ and Him crucified are the ones that are preaching the Truth and cruciform interpretations. I am a theologian and a pastor and can conclude that Abel is closer to the truth and the original interpretation than most pastors in Nigeria. The best way to interpret the whole scriptures is through Cruciform hermeneutics which Paul did, and was popularized by Origen in the early church. Abel is one of the best in Nigeria to do that. Guy, if you want to weigh in on theological matter, you might start by taking theological courses not in schools that are started by charlatans

Bro the scriptures are a literature and filled with figures of speech, literal happenings, visions, metaphors etc....even Animals spoke, even the devil spoke in the bible that is why explanation is needed. The book of Genesis was communicated via visions same as the book of revelation and so you have to be very careful handling those books so you dont run into error believing things the authors never intended. KJV as an old english bible though one of the most accurate translations still has some omissions , additions and errors in translating the bible from the original text , hence, why pastors like Dr Damina who take out their time to study the original text in the original language can make some statements you dont like. Except you are willing to put in the effort to study the way this pastors study the scriptures you will always be subject to what they tell you.

There are errors out there. The Bible is correct and gives correct to questions of salvation, but men twist it to suit their purpose.
There is one body, and the body is the church. Men today will tell you that different denominations make the body. Eph. 4:4, Col.1.18,24, I Cor. 12:12-14.
The Bible teaches believe, repent and be baptized for salvation but today teach that "sinners prayer" makes one born again. Mark 16:16, Acts 2:26-38, Acts 22:16, Gal.3:27, Rom.6:1-4.

The answer is in the same scripture of Revelation 2:11, those who overcome are those who remain true to Christ. They would not be afflicted by the second death. This is further explained in Revelation 20:6 and 21:8.
Jesus clarified this in John 10:28-29.
Once saved forever saved is not a licence to sin, on the contrary, our nature is formed to be like that of Christ until we have our mortal bodies changed into the immortal and incorruptible.
I want to comment on your statement that assumed that every member in the 7 churches in Revelation 2 and 3 are essentially in the true spiritual body of Christ. That assumption is not true. Like every other local church in the world today, those churches then had a mixed multitude of both saved and unsaved people. A quick survey will prove my point, for example; Rev 2:9 and 3:9, spoke about those in the Synagogue of Satan yet claimingto be Jews in these churches, Rev 2:14, spoke about those holding the doctrine of Balaam in that church. Rev 2:25, spoke about those holding the doctrine of the Nicolaitans which He hates. Rev 2:20 -23, spoke about the false prophetess Jezebel teaching seduction in that church.
It is clearly evident that they were many whose profession of faith did not match their character in desperate need of repentance. To assume that everyone in those local churches are children of God just because they belong there is not true. With this out of they way, it is easy to see how the threat of hell still hangs on some who will not overcome

Jesus did not address them as the church, he was specific about their state and he wasn't talking to those you mentioned.
Take for instance in 2:14 Jesus' query against them (the church) was because they have among them those who holds doctrine of Balaam. So Jesus wasn't writing to those who hold such doctrine, but the church for not exposing them.
Read every single verse you quoted, Jesus never addressed them as the church.

Second death simply means separation from God on the last day. To be a member of the Church is when one is Born Again ( through genuine repentance from sin). My brother thank God for you raising the ESSENTIALS OF FAITH. When there is errors on the essentials then there is no more faith. Eternal Security is an error from the pit of hell.
