This system looks awesome! I would suggest an option to be able to view how many actions you have left in the token, maybe another bar with N segments above the health bar. This might be helpful to get into the system. Really hyped to get into Crucible!
I am highly impressed by this new game system. 1. Foundry itself is amazing and playing 5e has not really allowed me to see the true power of Foundry. 2. The system itself is so interesting and unique but it's also very customizable which makes it perfect for me to drag my world onto. I will certainly be looking forward to the playtest of Crucible.
I love the passion and the amount of thought that you have placed into this video, displaying this very interesting system. I look forward to giving it a try with some friends.
I'm probably gonna try this system out in my next campaign. Would be nice to have a UI similar to token action hud or argon ui, or just a simple action bar where players can drop their actions into slots.
My players have found that you can drag the options into the macro boxes and activate them from there whitout having to open the character sheet everytime.
Love what I see so far. One thing in particular I loved was the way you could easily build taxonomies and archetypes and then combine and customize. Being able to attach talents to archetypes is a very nice touch. I'd love to see this expanded into the ancestries. Especially if you could also choose talents from outside of the talent tree. Being able to drag and drop a "Quadraped" talent, an "Amphibeous" talent, and such would be nice. It would be especially great for campaigns where you want the ancesteries to have a larger impact. For example, if you had a setting where the players could choose between humans, vampires, centaurs, and snake folk, you would probably want the differences between those ancestries to be more than just stats and resists / vulnerabilites. I'm excited to see how things develop. I hope you post a follow up after the playtest to talk about how it went, what you learned, and how you're moving forward.
This looks like almost exactly my kind of system, loving what I'm seeing so far. Will likely join the patreon when the play-tests start. Really looking forward to breaking this open and figuring out what kind of builds can be made. My group was looking to run PF2e with the next campaign, but depending on when this starts...
I noticed this in the anniversary stream as well as in this video. Although not impossible, it's hard to read text and understand what's happening because you're using a widescreen setup to stream/record. when that gets full-screened on a normal aspect ratio, everything becomes tiny. I'd recommend going forward to do these streams in a normal aspect ratio, since most people don't rock widescreen monitors. This also leaves a huge portion of the screen unused (top and bottom).
First i have to say...wow, im really impressed with this system. Exactly my type of system i was so desperatly searching, for the magic system alone. I am really hyped for the playtest and would love to play this with my group. We came from an really outstanding and long mmorpg background, so the talent system looks really promising to us. Keep up the good work :)
The stream for a new Foundry game starting with various technical issues is so meta. Is getting the game to work a mini-game for the GM? I couldn't hear him speak because I was laughing so loud. Super excited for this though as Foundry is all I use anymore. Loving it!
What usually works best for me, when trying to convince me to get into some new game or game system, are stories. Maybe consider compiling a few real life as it happened re-tellings of what happened in the games you ran. Consider focusing on things that could have only happened in this system.
We will have to see I guess. I mean D&D is on 5e so it's not like things will always be perfect. I'm sure they will keep at it and eventually get a good system down.
But I am curious. Please elaborate further. Rather than just saying it sucks, what don't you like about it? What are they doing wrong? Let's hear your opinion.
@insomniacult no worries. Everyone has their own ways. I was just interested in starting a conversation and hoping to dive more into your thoughts that made you not like this system. Have a good one.

Really enjoyed this video. I will investing time in Crucible. Can't wait to see the first campaign that comes out. Big fan of a House Divided.

Looking good, looking forward to playtest this with friends!
Much excite!

Shame I couldn't be there for the stream, I was really looking forward to it, but the game's looking amazing, can't wait to hear more!

Still not sure why you stream in ultra-wide after all this time. Impossible to read anything.
This is what I imagine a Path of Exile TTRPG looking like
This just might be the thing that could fix Shadowrun.

System Strings are ready for translate? Multiple language is a Strong benefit.
Very premature for that, I'm afraid. Things are changing so fast the localization will be very unstable for a while.
@@FoundryVTT It is more to be prepare for that, make the texts in a translate pattern Will make It easy in the Future.
It looks like you used jb2a, any other mods?

Just as the adventure you published was bad, your system is bad. Leave this stuff to specialists. Do what you know how to do.
