It actually shocks me how well Andy play famous songs. Note for note, even the little characteristics of the player's style. It's not even confined to one or two genres either, he can play it all. That's a serious talent.
The overall sound of this unit is really a lot like a pushed Silverface amp. That kind of bristling hair that's just tame enough to not kill you. Absolutely glorious tone.
This video made me buy it. I know the Xotic super sweet is a great option, but seeing how this is much more hands on rather than flicking switches at the side makes it a my preferred choice. Plus, it's all the gain I need along side my BD2!
Question; is the pedal creating that dirt sound? the fuzz or the slight overdrive? or is it the amp. iv got my mxr micro amp + here, and all its doing is boosting my volume, without the slight overdrive sound that he's getting in this video.. ps my pedal gave me that cool light overdrive sound the first time I plugged it in, but for some reason all its doing now is volume
the pedal can add dirt, but your amp has to be already starting to break up on it's own. If you have too much headroom and your amp is set really clean, it's going to just add volume.
Hello, I've been an avid watcher of your demo videos for years now. A question I've been meaning to ask is: What model of pickups are the ones that are on that natural finish telecaster? Thanks in advance.
The EQ is active on both versions. I believe the pedal started out as a Custom Shop release but soon entered normal production (no changes except graphics).
No,- it's a 26 DB clean boost.Even into a 100 watt amp, it will push it into OD.Depends on set up and requirements; can also be used to attenuate signal ,to play dirty at lower volumes.
Tried the original one at the store and bought the + version...aaand sorry but I don't think it's worth the extra price. Honestly I thought the original sounded better. o_o Call me crazy but yeah. Disappointed.
I think having the extra bass and treble here is more of an annoyance than anything. We can tweak that via our amp or EQ other places. Yeah... I think the original is where it's at
@@AndyDemos Nope. Never did find it. I used your playing as a tutorial, though. First time ever learning a song without knowing what i was playing. Thank you, Andy, for both the lesson and for resolving the aneurism i was about to have.

AND WITHOUT A FUCKING PICK
After the Stones, what songs were they? I want to check them out.
@@Bruhaha9 the tele one was country house by blur

Put an input and an output in a watermelon and Andy will sell it to you!
And make it sound good
Always love when he plays blur
I have heard a few people say that Keith Richards is a crap guitarist and he is so basic. Those people are idiots. Andy is the man.
Mick Taylor did most of the guitar work on ‘Monkey Man’
Keith Richards has style…something that’s lost on many.
@@schesser Exactly, do his songs make you tap your foot and bounce your head. Keith has a great knack of coming up with great grooves.

Is it just me or everytime I watch a PGS video I get so held up on Andy's progression that I forget about the product being demonstrated ?
no man. It's not just you
It’s not just you…It’s all of us…
Great DEMO as usual Andy :-)
Just picked one up used. Best $60 I’ve ever spent
great playing, Andy !
Man, Country House! So cool!
Sounds pretty good. Check out my mod on the MXR micro amp that changes it to a mid boost when the gain knob is turned up.
Paul Rudd can play...
"...I'm a cold Italian pizza"
what was the song on the strat ?
I've got the normal one, thats enough for me yall
COUNTRY HOUSE!
Dang it! Right when I was set on the Fulltone Fat Boost...
I think I'd rather listen to Andy than the Stones! Great lesson right there. Thanks.
A bass demo please!!!!

So lowering all the bass and treble makes it just a micro amp pedal? Or does it mess with the output signal?
It sounds really awesome!
When is "Country House" coming as a guitar lesson?
Is the overdrive sound coming purely from the amp? Or is the pedal adding some compression/dirt?
Sounds like my Vox AC15VR
Please guys what is that song at 2:20? Sounds so familiar

Any comparison that can be drawn between this and the MXR Custom Badass Modified Overdrive?
sounds fantastic
I can't remember the name of the second song
can it add saturation in front of a distortion pedal?? THRU A ONE CHANNEL CLEAN AMPLIFIER?
Name of the second song anyone?
Just noticed in the PGS logo does the "pdx" and "ore" stand for anything?
Portland, Oregon
To further clarify - PDX is the airport code for Portland.
Does the newer one (non custom shop) have active eq or just regular eq?
The EQ is active on both versions. I believe the pedal started out as a Custom Shop release but soon entered normal production (no changes except graphics).
I don't really have money to buy ProGuitarShop gear, at least I can enjoy Andy playing :)
KEEEEEEFFFFF !
Ima MONKEYYYYY
Second song?
Please what is the second song? :)
Sounds nice
The telecaster is a American Vintage 52?
Is this pedal only good if u have other pedals, like does it boost the other pedals?

Someone can help? I don't understand, is this a preamp?
No, just use it before your amp like any other boost or overdrive.
It's perfect.
What color is that Strat? Looks nice!
burgundy mist sir
@@williamalmond1028 thanks!
I've watched him on both here n reverb I never knew he was a finger guy
Question - MXR Micro Amp Plus or the Moog Minifooger Boost?
TC Electronic Spark Boost. I bought the Minifooger and I'm sticking with the Spark Boost.
Yessss!
Due know what I'm putting you off with the whole lot with it.

2:20 name of this song ?
Freebird
It's killing me. What's the first song? Stones, no? I just went through 223 songs and didn't find it. And i know it's one i should know by name.....
Hope you found it... It was the Stones - Monkey Man :)

This or RC Booster?
Sweet
can someone please tell me what's the song @2:20?
are these "custom shop" pedals hand wired?
At only 120 bucks, I highly doubt it is. Sounds damned good though, if you ask me.
I would guess it is. The Vintage Phase 90 from MXR is hand-wired and also sells for $120.
2:20 name of this song ?
What amp was this recorded with?
Country House :3
